Awakening from a nightmare that seemed like a prediction, The Great Sage is finally managing to get things on track for his mission. The Great Sage, along with his current Sages, is now focused on finding the last 3 Sages. The Great Sage couldn't exactly shake the nightmare, as it gave an accurate prediction of events he dared not think possible. The Great Sage continues to uncover more secrets about his past, learning both good and bad truths. A true continuation from Book I - The Sages of the Creators.
The emptiness of space seemed to be an eternity to travel upon. Asteroids would crash into nearby planets and moons, creating craters. Stars glistened brightly across the entire universe. The universe was a quiet eternal road that seemed to have no end. Through space, a travelling ship was on a direct course to a world that was too well known to the beings on board. Inside the ship, the beings were finally awake from their Eternal Sea of Dreams. As they were sitting on the couch and playing video games, the boy said, “Kayla?? Just how long was it until we were split up??” The girl, named Kayla, turned to the boy and said, “Well… As far as I can remember Manuel, we were brought to life by our former Masters. After the creation of life and us, we spent many eons together. When we finally awakened the Seven Sages, we were called upon to protect the universe. Our Master instructed us to always be together.” The boy, named Manuel, said, “However, that one fateful day when that Rouge Sage killed our Masters, it started a universal war that never truly ended. And now, my Apprentice, it’s finally coming to a close. I believe that when we find the Scepters, we can start the next adventure to find the other five Sages.” Kayla said, “That’s exactly what I was thinking. Now you see why you were known as, The Great Sage??” Manuel said, “Well, when I first found my dormant power, I didn’t know what to think. But, when I found the relics and that message in the Book of Sages, that was the day that you came back into my life.” Kayla said, “And I’m happy that we were finally re-united. Because, this time, nothing will ever be able to tear us apart.” Right before Manuel could say anything, the alarm went off. Manuel said, “Time to go to the Realm of Hyrule.” Since they were already dressed and ready, they made their way to the Teleportation Room. Once inside, they stepped onto the platform. Manuel said, “Computer, teleport us to the Realm of Hyrule, inside the Temple of Time.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel. Teleporting to destination: Temple of Time.” With a bright flash of light, Manuel and Kayla were gone from the ship. However, in the living room, a blue flash appeared and the Bluish Figure appeared. As she walked around, she said, “It’s good to have the old ship back. But, it does make me wonder how the message was brought to Michelle. Because, now that I remember, our Masters were killed by a Rouge Sage. Soo, how was it possible that she was given the order by one of the Masters, when they are dead??” Though she had many questions, the Bluish Figure walked up to one the bedroom doors and tapped it with her weapon. The door opened and once she was inside her room, she shut it and magically locked it with her own spells.
Inside the Temple of Time, Manuel and Kayla were looking around to anyone that could be inside. As they found no one, they met back up in the Pedestal Room, where the Master Sword was laid to rest. Manuel said, “Does this look different to you??” Kayla said, “Yes, because the Master Sword is gone.” Manuel summoned his Staff of Sages. Manuel said, “Let’s see if it will fit.” Manuel placed his Staff of Sages in the Pedestal and suddenly, a blue see-through staircase appeared and one of the walls disappeared. Manuel lifted out his Staff of Sages and said, “Just like back in Twilight Princess…” Kayla said, “Yep. Let’s go find these Scepters, shall we??” Manuel and Kayla made their way up the stairs and down into the hallway. As they kept on walking, Manuel said, “What power do you suppose the Scepters hold??” Kayla said, “I’m not sure, but I do remember that they are very powerful. The Scepters are powerful enough to create and destroy galaxies.” Manuel said, “Wow. I do remember that.” After walking for about 10 minutes, they came across a door. There was no handle and it was a stone door. Manuel tapped the door with his Staff of Sages and the stone door moved to reveal a hidden room. Once it was fully opened, Manuel and Kayla walked into the room. Manuel said, “Now, there’s something definitely wrong with this picture.” Manuel and Kayla saw Seven Pedestals, but no Scepters were floating upon them. Kayla said, “This could be a problem.” Manuel said, “We have to find the Scepters.” Manuel activated his watch and said, “Computer, teleport us back onto the ship.” On the watch, the Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel. Teleporting now.” As they were waiting, Manuel said, “Wait a minute. This actually makes sense…” Kayla said, “What do you mean??” Suddenly, Manuel and Kayla disappeared from the Seven Scepters Room. Even though they left, the Bluish Figure appeared in the Seven Scepters Room. Once the Bluish Figure saw that the Scepters were gone, she said, “Oh no… The Seven Scepters of the Sages are gone.” The Bluish Figure stood in the Seven Scepters Room, stunned that the Scepters were gone.
Back on the ship, Manuel and Kayla came walking out from the Teleportation Room. Kayla said, “Hey, what did you mean by this makes sense??” Manuel said, “Follow me.” Manuel and Kayla walked into their room and Manuel pulled out the Book of Sages. Manuel flipped pages, until he got to the end of the Book. Manuel said, “I thought I saw something that may have been useful.” Manuel gave the Book of Sages to Kayla and Kayla started to look through. Suddenly, Kayla said, “I found something… It’s in the Old Language, soo I’m assuming you can translate it??” Manuel looked at the message and said, “Yeah, I can…” Manuel read the passage:
“To Manuel and Kayla: If Kayla found this, then one of our worst fears have been realized. The Seven Scepters of the Sages were stolen and it’s up to you two to retrieve them. I’m sure you both remember that I said that the map is located in the Book of Sages. Well, it is. Turn to the Star page and pull it. ~The Bluish Figure.”

I’m sure you both remember that I said that the map is located in the Book of Sages. Well, it is. Turn to the Star page and pull it. ~The Bluish Figure.”)Manuel and Kayla flipped the pages, until they found the Star page. Manuel pulled the page and it stretched out and the page magically came out. Once Manuel had the map in his hands, a colored Scepter appeared on a nearby planet. Manuel looked at the planet and said, “Looks like our first place to go to is the World of Sonic. And it says that we are looking for ‘The Dark Scepter’ I’m not entirely sure, but we must head that way.” Kayla said, “Soo, should we get going??” Manuel said, “Yes, we should. Computer, set our course for the World of Sonic.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel. Our ETA will be 7 hours and 16 minutes.” Kayla said, “Wow, that close huh??” Manuel said, “Yeah, I know what we can do. We can go train in the training room.” Kayla said, “There’s a training room here??” Manuel said, “Yeah, follow me.” Manuel and Kayla were walking past all the rooms, down the hallway. As they were passing the rooms, Manuel said, “I count five rooms that look like bedrooms. And yet, why is there another room??” Kayla said, “Let’s find out??” Manuel and Kayla stopped and went back to the sixth door. Manuel opened the door and it was a room that looked exactly like the Seven Scepters Chamber, including the Pedestals. Manuel said, “Soo, is this where we place the Scepters, as we find them??” Kayla said, “If there was two places to put the Scepters, why wouldn’t they be in here??” Manuel said, “Good question… But, I think we have to collect them to make sure these are real.” Kayla said, “Do you think they could be fake??” Manuel said, “I don’t think soo, but I always want to make sure that everything’s authentic.” Kayla said, “Yeah, I definitely know that feeling… I had to do the same, when I received my powers.” Manuel said, “I see. Is that how you found me??” Kayla said, “Nope. I was meditating and a gentle voice told me to go to that address. I didn’t second guess the voice, because it sounded really familiar to me. Soo, I only grabbed my sunglasses and my wallet and my cell-phone.” Manuel said, “And once I gave you your necklace and wedding ring, you were awakened as my Apprentice.” Kayla said, “And I won’t ever look back.” Manuel said, “And I’m happy you are staying with me.” Kayla said, “Why would I leave you??” Manuel signaled for Kayla to follow him and they walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. After they sat down, Manuel said, “Two reasons?? 1. We’ve only known each other for hours and 2. My former Apprentice left me… Which was the absolute reason why I had to destroy my Sages…” Kayla said, “You destroyed your Sages?! Including Michelle and Kaylee and Kim and Dani?!” Manuel said, “I’m not truly happy about what I did or what I had done, but if it wasn’t done, Michelle would’ve destroyed me and ended the Sages.” Kayla said, “How is that??” Manuel said, “Well, Michelle was given a note to destroy me from our Masters. And when I read the…” Kayla interrupted Manuel by saying, “How is that possible?? Our Masters were killed by that Rouge Sage we never caught.” Manuel said, “I told her that, but Michelle didn’t believe me. We continued our battle and eventually, I killed her with this…” Manuel held out his hand and the Demonic Sword appeared. Kayla made a small shriek and said, “The Demonic Sword?! How could you do that?! That particular Sword was commanded by The Dark Sage… But, if you came into possession of it…” Manuel said, “The Dark Sage wielded this Sword against the Kids Next Door Operatives, many innocent lives, and even on me…” Manuel lifted up his shirt and Kayla saw the scar that was where his heart was. Kayla felt it and said, “Wow… Michelle did this?!” Manuel said, “Yeah, she threw it at me, before she fell down the Power Source of Temple of the Sages. Soo, with only minutes and seconds left, I had to run and get on my ship and fly out of there. I still noticed I had David on my ship soo, I quickly teleported him back to Haven City… Oh I should send him a transmission to see if he’s alright…” Manuel got up and said, “Come with me, please??” Manuel extended his hand and Kayla said, “I”ll always follow you, until the very end.” Manuel smiled and said, “I know you are telling the truth.” Kayla grabbed his hand and Manuel pulled her up gently and they made their way to the Computer Room. Manuel turned on the Computers and once it was up and running, Manuel opened a new transmission message. Manuel pressed record and looked at the computer screen. Manuel cleared his throat and said, “David… Or should I say Krimson, King of Haven… As you can see, I am still alive and well. To my side, is my Apprentice… Her name is Kayla. This transmission is making sure you are still alive and well, my friend. I hope you can contact me or get this message. Take care, my brother.” Manuel saluted in his fashion and the transmission was stopped and sent. The Computer Voice said, “Manuel, it appears that something is jamming the transmission to Haven City. I shall keep on trying.” Manuel said, “I just hope that his planet wasn’t effected… Because, if that’s the case, I’ve lost my last remaining brother in my family.” Kayla said, “Wait, what happened to Nathan??” Manuel said, “Nathan turned to evil and tried to kill me, back in Radiant Garden, in the Universe of Kingdom Hearts. We ended up battling again, at the very top of the Castle That Never Was, which ended badly. Though the Castle was destroyed to pieces, I know that my brother’s body was crushed in the pieces.” Kayla said, “I bet that was hard for you.” Manuel said, “It was, but not as hard as it was to kill my Sages and my Apprentice… But, what’s done is done.” Kayla said, “Yeah, well we should head to the Training Room…” Manuel said, “Yes, we should.” As Manuel and Kayla walked out of the Computer Room, the Computer Voice said, “Manuel. Kayla. We have arrived at the World of Sonic. Are you both ready for departure??” Manuel said, “Well, there goes our Training… Yeah, we will be in the Teleportation Room shortly.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel.” Kayla said, “Aww man. I really wanted to exercise my powers…” Manuel said, “I know… But, let’s just get back down there and get The Dark Scepter and quickly leave soo, we can get back on the ship, place The Dark Scepter on its rightful Pedestal, probably head to our next destination, and then we can Train. How’s that sound??” Kayla said, “Sounds lovely, Manuel. Let’s go…” Manuel and Kayla made their way to the Teleportation Room. Once they were inside and standing on the platform of the Teleportation Room, Manuel said, “Computer, teleport us to Emerald City.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel. Teleporting to destination: Emerald City.” With a bright white flash of light, Manuel and Kayla were gone from the ship. Suddenly, in the living room, the Bluish Figure re-appeared in the ship. The Bluish Figure said, “Soo, they found the Scepter Room. That’s good to hear. Since The Seven Scepters of the Sages are missing, the hunt is on. The adventure of The Seven Scepters of the Sages has begun…” The Bluish Figure walked to her bedroom door and tapped it with her weapon. Once the door opened, the Bluish Figure walked into the room and magically closed and locked the door. With only the Bluish Figure on the ship and Manuel and Kayla teleported down to Emerald City, the more personal journey for the Seven Sages has begun.
After appearing on the outskirts of Emerald City, Manuel and Kayla looked around at the current surroundings. Manuel said, “I haven’t been in Emerald City, since me and Valmar were here, fighting The Dark Sage for the second time. It was also here that we thought we seen the last of The Dark Sage… But I remember him telling me that the Destruction of the Sages has begun… And well, it ended… It ended very badly…” Kayla said, “Well, let’s try and make a better memory here…” Suddenly, a bright blue flash ran by them. Manuel and Kayla kept looking forward and saw that the blue flash went right into town. However, within seconds, explosions occurred and buildings fell to the ground, instantly. Without exchanging words, Manuel and Kayla looked at each other, gave a solid nod of their heads, and ran into town. Unfortunately, as fast as they were to run, they were no match for the blue flash. Manuel and Kayla tried to keep up, but eventually lost sight of it. After they stopped to catch their breath, Manuel said, “No doubt about it. That has to be Sonic the Hedgehog…” Kayla said, “Why would he destroy Emerald City??” Manuel said, “He must be in control of The Dark Scepter. We must get it back.” Manuel and Kayla started walking to the very tall building, that once stood whole. Once they managed to find their way up the building, they were almost ambushed by creatures. Manuel held out his hand and it created a barrier around himself and Kayla. Manuel quickly said, “We are not enemies… We are here to stop Sonic…” Suddenly, a familiar voice said, “Manuel?? Is that you??” Manuel put down the barrier and after the smoke cleared from all the gun shots, Manuel saw that it was Tails. Manuel said, “Tails?! What are you doing here??” Suddenly, the rest of the Sonic Team started to come out of hiding. Manuel and Kayla looked around and saw all of them. Kayla said, “There’s Amy… And Rouge the Bat…” Manuel said, “Dr. Eggman Robotnik… Knuckles, the Echidna… I’m assuming Shadow never truly made it back, did he…” Tails said, “No. He never did come back from when him and Sonic defeated the Final-Hazard.” Kayla said, “Soo, what exactly happened to Sonic??” Knuckles said, “Well, when we were out looking for the Chaos Emeralds, we stumbled upon a Dark and Demented looking Scepter.” Tail said, “When he picked it up, his entire personality changed and he started to become obsessed with the Dark Power… The only thing that he kept on saying was that he was solely searching for the Chaos Emeralds…” Dr. Robotnik said, “Once they all came back, I managed to analyze the Scepter and I could see that it was beyond any power we could ever wield. However, he wanted to find the rest of the Emeralds soo, he waved the Scepter around and all seven Chaos Emeralds appeared before him. Once he was in control of them all plus the Dark Scepter, we knew his power would succumb to evil. And now, we try and catch him soo, we can get that Dark Scepter from him and utterly destroy it.” Kayla said, “You are to not destroy the Dark Scepter. We need that Scepter.” Tails said, “Well, the only way to try and catch him, is to call him out for a battle.” Manuel said, “I can do that easily. And I have a plan… Gather around, because here’s what we do…” Manuel tells everyone about his plan and they decide to leave the Head-Quarters and down to the center of Emerald City.
Once everyone was down at the center of Emerald City, they waited there for Sonic’s arrival. It didn’t take long for them to wait, because Sonic was zoning in at super speeds. Manuel said, “Now. Get to positions.” The Sonic Team left Manuel and Kayla in the center and hid around the surroundings. The blue flash suddenly stopped in front of Manuel and Kayla. Manuel and Kayla looked at Sonic, as Sonic starred at them back. Manuel said, “What happened to you, Sonic?? Ever since you picked up that Dark Scepter, you haven’t been yourself.” Sonic said, “Ever since I inherited this magnificent Scepter… I haven’t felt this happy in a long time.” Kayla said, “Nonetheless Sonic… You are going to hand over that Scepter. It doesn’t belong to you and you have caused enough destruction to everyone and everything around you.” Sonic said, “You two may be part of the Seven Sages, but I will not give up what’s rightfully mine.” Manuel noticed something inside the Crystal Ball of the Dark Scepter. Manuel telepathically said to Kayla, “Look into the Crystal Ball of the Scepter. I see all seven Chaos Emeralds…” Kayla heard Manuel’s voice and looked into the Crystal Ball. Once she noticed the Chaos Emeralds in the Crystal Ball, Kayla telepathically said to Manuel, “How did he do that??” Manuel telepathically said, “I don’t know… But we have to get the Dark Scepter soon.” Kayla telepathically said, “Then, let’s do it.” Manuel and Kayla stepped back from Sonic. Without being able to ask a question, Sonic sensed someone about to jump on him. Sonic quickly turned around and struck Knuckles with the Dark Scepter. Not counting that Sonic would be able to learn from the Scepter’s power, Manuel and Kayla had to re-think their plan. Sonic dodged everyone’s surprise attack and struck them all down, one-by-one. After Sonic struck Tails to the ground, Kayla got a hold of Sonic and held him tightly. Manuel went to grab the Dark Scepter from Sonic, when Sonic broke free of her death grip and struck Manuel in the face with the Dark Scepter. Manuel felt the blow, but did not even stagger. Manuel looked back at Sonic and without a second thought, summoned his Staff of Sages and struck Sonic soo hard that it shook the entire city. Though the hit didn’t kill him, it rendered Sonic lifeless. And after the attack, Sonic dropped the Dark Scepter. Manuel grabbed the Dark Scepter off the ground and Kayla dropped Sonic to the ground. Manuel made sure that Tails and the others are still alive and well. Once Manuel and Kayla helped Tails and the others, Manuel said, “Since Sonic should be alive still, he will forget what happened here. I hope you guys can re-build Emerald City…” Tails said, “It’s no worries, Manuel. We can take care of it.” Manuel and Kayla waved good-bye and started walking towards the City Limits and Outskirts. As they were walking, Manuel said, “Hmm, I wonder how Sonic came into the possession of the Dark Scepter.” Kayla said, “Beats me. But, if the Dark Scepter managed to change a pure heart such as Sonic… I fear that we will be facing many more powerful allies…” Manuel said, “I know… I can sense that, too.” Suddenly, Manuel remembered and held out the Dark Scepter and shook it a bit. Suddenly, seven hand-size gems fell out. Kayla said, “Those don’t look like the Chaos Emeralds I remember…” Manuel held out his hand over them and they started to float up in a circle with one in the middle. Manuel said, “They’ve been inside the Dark Scepter from soo long that the power of the Dark Scepter altered the Chaos Emeralds…” Kayla said, “Wait… These look familiar… Well, sound familiar is a better term for it.” Manuel was trying to figure out what Kayla meant, but suddenly got the thought. Manuel said, “Sonic put the Chaos Emeralds in here to make them into evil Emeralds…” Kayla said, “Sonic managed to re-create the Chaos Emeralds of Darkness…” Manuel said, “These aren’t meant to exist… And I will not let them exist either.” Manuel blasted the gems into the air and they scattered across the world. Kayla said, “Do you think they will go after them??” Manuel said, “They can’t. Due to the power of the Dark Scepter, the Chaos Emeralds’ normal power level will be masked in secrecy.” Kayla said, “Soo, even if they had the best tracking device… They can’t find them??” Manuel said, “The only person that can find the Chaos Emeralds of Darkness is the one that controls the Dark Scepter… Which reminds me, we need to get back onto the ship.” Manuel activated his watch and said, “Computer, teleport us to the ship.” On the watch, the Computer Voice said, “Teleporting now.” Suddenly, Manuel and Kayla disappeared from Emerald City and back onto the ship. Just around the wall, Tails was standing behind to listen on their conversation. Tails said, “Chaos Emeralds of Darkness?? But, those are pure myth… I will have to get to work to be able to track down these Emeralds…”
Back on the ship, Manuel and Kayla came walking out of the Teleportation Room. Manuel said, “Let’s place this on its rightful pedestal.” Manuel and Kayla walked into the room where the replica pedestals were. Manuel managed to find the right symbol marking on the Scepter and the pedestal and placed it on the pedestal. Suddenly, the Dark Scepter started to float and four symbols appeared on the Dark Scepter that said, “Rinx” in the Old Language. Manuel read it and said, “Rinx??” Kayla said, “Rinx?? Rinx is one of my old characters that I used to draw in Role-Playing… I don’t really know how I got the idea, but one day, I drew her and that name popped into my head… Like I knew her in real life…” Manuel said, “I feel the same way, Kayla. But, that’s one Scepter down and six to go.” Kayla said, “Let’s check on the transmissions??” Manuel said, “Good idea. After you.” Manuel followed Kayla closely behind and they went into the Computer Room. Manuel activated his computer and saw that he had a new transmission from the Mushroom Kingdom. Manuel opened it and Mario was on the screen. Mario said, “To The Great Sage… It’s Mario. We have a dire situation. Someone has been using a powerful relic against us and our Princess Peach has gone missing. And this time, Bowser didn’t take her.” Suddenly Bowser pushed Mario out of the screen and said, “Look. You better get her back, Manuel.” Mario got back into the screen and said, “We also have reason to believe that this person who’s commanding this powerful light relic could be our own Princess Peach. However, we are not jumping to conclusions. We will be awaiting your immediate response.” The transmission ended. Manuel said, “Computer, set our next course for the Mushroom Kingdom.” Kayla said, “I think we should sleep before we get to our training.” Manuel said, “Another great idea from my Apprentice. After you, once again.” Manuel closely followed behind Kayla and they walked into the room. Once they got into comfier clothes, the Computer Voice said, “Our ETA is 15 hours and 38 minutes. Shall I alert you a few hours before soo you and Kayla may train??” Manuel said, “By alarm, if that’s possible, Computer.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel. Have a good rest.” Manuel and Kayla laid down on the bed and got under the covers. Once they were in a comfy position holding each other, they quickly fell asleep. Though it was very quiet in the ship, the Bluish Figure walked out from her room. The Bluish Figure said quietly, “With Manuel and Kayla asleep, I have time to talk with the other Sages…” The Bluish Figure went into the living room and summoned the other 4 Sages to the living room of the ship that glowed different colors, but looked nearly the same. The Bluish Figure said, “Look, we have a bad situation on our hands…” The Green Figure said, “What happened this time??” The Bluish Figure said, “Someone or something has managed to steal the Seven Scepters of the Sages.” The Orange Figure said, “That’s truly bad… How did this happen??” The Bluish Figure said, “I don’t know how it happened, but Manuel and Kayla were successful in retrieving one of them.” The Bluish Figure turned to the Dark Figure and said, “They retrieved yours… Rinx.” The Dark Figure, known as Rinx, said, “Well, wasn’t I lucky…” The Bluish Figure said, “Manuel and Kayla know your name and what power you possess. And it won’t be long until they find out all of our names and we will be able to speak freely among each other.” Rinx said, “As long as we can re-unite again, I don’t care what happens. Now, if you will excuse me…” Rinx disappeared from the group. The Light Figure said, “Man… I don’t see how you and Rinx are even closely related…” The Orange Figure said, “I don’t believe it. But, at times, her voice gives me a reminder of this loud shriek I once heard, a very long time ago… Anyways, what is our next objective??” The Bluish Figure said, “I don’t know yet… But their next adventure takes them to the Mushroom Kingdom, where the Light Scepter is being used badly.” The Green Figure said, “Well, what should we do??” The Bluish Figure said, “Let’s keep preparing for Manuel and Kayla’s arrival, for when they come to get us… I can still sense a great evil that lurks about…” The Green Figure said, “I can too.” Suddenly, a demonic creature appeared next to the Green Figure. The Bluish Figure said, “And you decide to join us why, Valmar??” Valmar said, “I have to check on Manuel and Kayla. You know that. I try at every chance I get.” The Green Figure said, “You’re still searching for me??...” Valmar said, “Your location keeps changing on me. But, I know I’m getting close.” The Bluish Figure said, “Well, I’m sure that eventually, we will be able to re-unite you two.” Suddenly, Valmar said, “Everyone disappear!! I can sense Manuel’s getting up!!” Everyone disappeared from the Living Room and Manuel walked out from his bedroom. After looking in the Living Room, Manuel said, “I thought I heard some people talking… I know I heard the Bluish Figure’s voice… And Valmar’s voice… I’m probably hearing things… Okay, back to bed.” Manuel walked back into his room and shut the door to lay back down. Shortly after, everyone re-appeared back into the Living room. Valmar said, “I better get back to my adventure.” Valmar disappeared shortly after. The Bluish Figure said, “You three should head back. Save your energy until I summon you all back again. I will at least summon you all back, when Manuel and Kayla find another Scepter.” The other Figures disappeared as well. The Bluish Figure got up and quickly and quietly walked to the bedroom door and opened it. After closing and magically sealing it shut, the Bluish Figure laid down on her bed. The Bluish Figure said, “I hope that the other Scepters are found… Manuel and Kayla already know about Rinx and I’m pretty certain Kayla knows that Rinx is one of her drawn characters. She didn’t imagine those characters, because I sent her the images in her mind and she drew them out for me. It’s only a matter of time, until she realizes that the Sages are all of her characters in her Role-Playing… All five of us, including me…” The Bluish Figure clapped her hands lightly and the lights shut off. With the lights off in both the rooms and the ship swiftly and silently flying through space to their next destination, Manuel and Kayla were resting from their short adventure and to be ready to train in the training room. Little do they know that in their next adventure, they will need to truly exercise their powers, training, and knowledge to obtain the next Scepter.
Slowly and silently, the ship came to a slow stop near the Mushroom Kingdom world. Within the ship, Manuel and Kayla were in the training room, attacking each other. As they gave each other a harsh battle, Manuel and Kayla eventually came to a stalemate and clashed their Keyblades together. Manuel said, “You have gotten better, Kayla.” Kayla said, “And I have almost become a true match for you, Manuel.” Manuel smiled and quickly moved and ducked and struck Kayla down with his Keyblade. Kayla fell to the floor and she didn’t get back up. Suddenly, the room transformed into its original medium room with chrome panels. Manuel said, “Almost, Kayla… Remember to never let your guard down to anyone…” Kayla flipped over to her back and said, “I totally forgot about that. When I was staring in your eyes, I went blank.” Manuel held out his hand to help Kayla back up. Kayla grabbed his hand and Manuel gently pulled her back up. Manuel said, “I tend to have that effect on people… Michelle couldn’t stand it.” Kayla laughed and said, “Michelle was a jealous-type girl… But, you don’t have to worry about that with me. I have the highest trust in you that you wouldn’t betray me like that.” Manuel said, ‘What reason do I have to betray you?? Michelle didn’t like it because of all the girls that would be there on the adventures. Like the girls from the World of Grandia… You remember Millenia and Feena and Elena right??” Kayla said, “Michelle got jealous of those girls?! Wow… She really was the jealous-type.” Manuel and Kayla left the training room and went into their room. Manuel said, “Let’s take a quick shower.” Kayla said, “Sounds good.” Manuel and Kayla quickly ran into the bathroom and shut the door. The shower water turned on and small giggles were coming from the room. Next door to the room, in the Bluish Figure’s room, she was still laying down for rest. Suddenly, the Bluish Figure heard the giggles and said, “Good times… I remember those times… And I do miss them.” Back in the main room, Manuel and Kayla got out of the bathroom with all their clothes on. Manuel said, “Now, on to our next destination…” Kayla said, “To the Mushroom Kingdom!!” Manuel and Kayla ran into the Teleportation Room. Once they were on the platform, Manuel said, “Computer, teleport us to Mario’s current location.” The Computer Voice said, “Umm, Manuel?? There’s no trace of life upon the Mushroom Kingdom.” Kayla said, “That’s impossible.” Manuel said, “Hmm, that’s a bit odd… Then, we start our search at Princess Peach’s Castle. Computer, can you teleport us there??” The Computer Voice said, “Teleporting now. Destination: Princess Peach’s Castle.” With the blinding flash of light, Manuel and Kayla were gone from the ship.
Once Manuel and Kayla appeared, they saw a desolate wasteland. Manuel gazed upon the Mushroom Kingdom Castle and he couldn’t figure out how it was still standing. Kayla said, “It looks like war broke loose and hell was released… All at the same time.” Manuel said, “Look at the castle, Kayla…” Kayla turned around and saw that the castle was in complete ruin and destroyed. Kayla said, “How is it still standing?? An attack like this leaves nothing left standing.” Manuel went to open the door and when he pulled it open, the door came crashing down. Manuel and Kayla jumped out of the way before the door could smash them. Once they looked inside, they saw complete ruin. As they walked around, Manuel said, “This is not what I pictured Peach’s Castle to look like…” Many big-size holes were in the castle’s walls. Manuel and Kayla had to jump their way to access the higher levels of the castle. Once they reached the bedrooms, Manuel and Kayla continued to walk down the hallway. Manuel went to open the door to the left of him and what he saw inside was something he never expected. Manuel said, “Kayla… Look at this…” Kayla looked inside the room and she made a shriek noise and quickly covered her mouth. Manuel and Kayla saw many of the servants of Princess Peach, dead and in pieces. Manuel said, “What in the hell happened here?! Who would do something like this?!” Kayla said, “I don’t know, but I think we should leave before I get sick…” Manuel said, “Right back at you…” Manuel and Kayla quickly left and walked down the hallway until they saw to Princess Peach’s bedroom doors. Manuel said, “Are you ready??” Kayla summoned her Keyblades and nodded her head. Manuel summoned his Keyblades and decided to kick the doors in. Both doors fell to the ground, but there stood Princess Peach, in a torn up pink dress, her hair nappy and messy, no crown, and wielding the Light Scepter. Manuel said, “Princess Peach… It was you. Why have you destroyed your kingdom??” Princess Peach turned around and said, “Because… I have finally started to think on why I was here… When I came into possession of this Scepter, I felt power that I felt like I once had…” Manuel said, “I do remember about your past… But, you have to realize that you’re commanding power that you are not ready to wield yet.” Princess Peach said, “And yet, you two think that any of you can wield this?? No. This is mine and I will do everything to keep it.” Princess Peach held her ground and gripped the Light Scepter. Manuel and Kayla gripped their Keyblades, thinking that Peach was going to attack them. Kayla said, “Princess Peach, this isn’t you. Why would you attack viciously against everyone??” Princess Peach said, “Because, trust can be misplaced, Kayla. I once trusted someone to always be there for me… And that trust was broken.” Manuel said, “No matter how strong the trust was broken, it never truly disappears. However, it’s not worth killing everyone, including the one you trusted most, over… Besides, why would Mario betray your trust??” Princess Peach laughed and said, “HA!!! You think I’m talking about Mario?! Oh no… I’m talking about someone I once knew and trusted with everything… And she broke it.” Kayla said, “You must be talking about Princess Daisy, the Princess of Holodrum.” Princess Peach said, “And once again, you are gravely mistaken, Kayla. I would never trust my counter-part, no matter the situation.” After eliminating every thought of who it was in their heads, Manuel and Kayla were stumped on who Princess Peach was talking about. Princess Peach said, “I’m done talking. If you want this Scepter, come get it.” Princess Peach flew towards Manuel and Kayla to attack them, head on. Kayla jumped towards her and met her attack with one of her own. Once they struck weapons, the shock was soo powerful that it shook the castle, which finally brought it crashing down. Princess Peach smiled and shoved Kayla into Manuel, knocking them down. Princess Peach said, “Have fun with my castle, Sages!!” Princess Peach jumped out of the big hole behind her, leaving Manuel and Kayla in the castle. With the castle falling down in pieces and Manuel and Kayla still trying to get back to their feet, Manuel knew they weren’t going to make it out alive. Manuel and Kayla almost jumped out of the big hole, but Kayla tripped on a piece of the roof that fell and took Manuel down with her. Without a second to spare, the castle came falling down on Manuel and Kayla. After the dust and debris cleared, the castle was in complete ruin and Manuel and Kayla were buried underneath it. Princess Peach was still standing outside of the castle and turned around and saw the rubble that was her castle. Knowing that Manuel and Kayla didn’t get out alive, Princess Peach said, “Now, I can finish what I was instructed to do, if the secret was to ever get released…” Princess Peach used the Scepter’s power to teleport to Bowser’s Castle.
After appearing near Bowser’s Castle, Princess Peach started walking towards the castle. As she walked, she was talking to herself. Princess Peach said, “Since Mario and Luigi managed to release my secret, I was given a direct order to eliminate everyone in the Mushroom Kingdom and beyond. Thus far, I have managed to do it all, except destroy Bowser… And now, that’s what I plan to finish.” Once Princess Peach walked up to Bowser’s gigantic door, Peach gripped the Scepter and busted the doors down. Bowser turned around and saw that Princess Peach was at his castle. Bowser said, “Peach… Why are you here…” Princess Peach said, “Oh you know why I’m here, Bowser… Mario and Luigi told the secret. You know what we were instructed to do…” Bowser said, “But, why do we have to follow what she said?? You basically killed everyone here, in this world. Soo, what do we have to worry about??” Princess Peach said, “I’ve followed her rules for many years now… I’m not about to go back on her words of wisdom.” Bowser said, “Well, I think we should start a new, Peach. Just you and me. The way it was meant to be.” Princess Peach said, “You know we can’t do that, Bowser. Now… Let me do what I have to do.” Princess Peach started walking towards Bowser, until a ball of magic energy hit her and knocked her down to the ground. From behind Bowser, Manuel and Kayla came walking out. Princess Peach sat up and saw that Manuel and Kayla were still alive. Princess Peach said, “How is this possible?! You two should’ve been crushed in the rubble of my castle.” Manuel said, “If you remember, Princess Peach, we’re Sages.” Kayla said, “We cannot be defeated soo easily, Peach.” Princess Peach finally got back to her feet. Manuel and Kayla held out their right hands and launched a big ball of magic energy at Princess Peach, launching her out of Bowser’s Castle. Manuel turned to Bowser and said, “I suggest you brace yourself, Bowser. Time reverting is a powerful thing.” Bowser said, “You think she would re-activate it again??” Kayla said, “Maybe. But, if she doesn’t, we will.” Manuel and Kayla left Bowser’s Castle, leaving Bowser is a small confused state of mind. Once they walked outside of the castle, Princess Peach finally managed to get up from the attack. Once Peach saw that Manuel and Kayla were standing in front of her, Princess Peach said, “You won’t be able to defeat me soo easily, Sages.” Manuel said, “Our main objective is to obtain that Scepter, Princess.” Kayla said, “And we will obtain that Scepter, by any means of necessary, Peach.” Princess Peach said, “The only time you will be able to obtain my Scepter, is when you pry it from my dead hands.” Princess Peach, not wasting anymore time, flew towards Manuel and Kayla to attack them. With her aim set on Manuel, Manuel summoned his Keyblades and defended himself against her attack. Once Princess Peach clashed the Scepter with Manuel’s Keyblades, a loud and thunderous sound echoed throughout the sky. Kayla summoned her Keyblades and took a slash at Princess Peach. Princess Peach tried to jump out of the way in time, but ended up getting cut by Kayla’s Keyblade in the arm. Princess Peach saw and felt the cut and said, “You’re going to be dreading that mistake, Kayla.” Kayla said, “Let’s see you do something about it, Peach.” Princess Peach gripped the Scepter with her left arm and started attacking Kayla, head on. As Kayla managed to block all of Princess Peach’s attacks, Manuel stepped back to let Kayla exercise her power and abilities. After minutes have passed, Kayla and Princess Peach met a stalemate. Kayla threw Peach off and launched a mighty ball of powerful magic at her. Once Peach was hit by the mighty ball of magic, it rendered her grip of the Light Scepter. Princess Peach saw that she didn’t have it in her hands and went to grab it. Kayla threw one of her Keyblades at the ground in front of her to stop her. Kayla said, “I wouldn’t try if I were you, Peach.” Princess Peach said, “You will not stand in my way to completing what my mother has instructed me to do, Sages!!” Manuel said, “Your mother??” Princess Peach said, “Yes, the first Queen of Mushroom Kingdom… She was the most…” Suddenly, Princess Peach realized what she was about to reveal and said, “I almost let it slip. You two shall not escape this fate.” Summoning what power she had left, Princess Peach teleported back to her destroyed castle. Kayla gathered the Light Scepter and her other Keyblade and teleported with Manuel to follow Princess Peach. Bowser came walking out of his castle and said, “Only time will tell when Peach activates that Memory Machine again…” Bowser felt the wind blowing through his hair, as he kept on gazing across the deserted wasteland that laid before his rightful kingdom. Bowser said, “I fear that the next time something like this happens…” Bowser turned around and started walking back into his castle and he continued, “It will be the last time…” Bowser sat on his throne, dreading that his future may not look soo long as he wanted it to be.
Back at Princess Peach’s Castle, the Princess, Manuel and Kayla were standing outside of the castle. Manuel and Kayla saw that Peach was already making her way through the rubble, trying to find an entrance. Manuel and Kayla tried to catch up to Peach, but she eventually found the secret entrance and dropped down, underneath the castle. Manuel and Kayla followed Peach down underneath the castle. Once they landed, they saw Peach commanding a huge contraption. Manuel said, “This must be the…” Suddenly, Kayla said, “That’s the Memory Machine!!” Manuel looked at her and said, “How did you know??” Kayla said, “I drew that…” Peach said, “Then, you must know what it does, Kayla.” Suddenly, Peach activated the Memory Machine and the blue light started to surround everything. Kayla grabbed one of Manuel’s Keyblades and slammed them into the ground. Kayla placed Manuel’s hand on her Keyblade and her hand on his Keyblade. Then, it activated a shield around them. Manuel and Kayla saw the blue light glow around them. Within seconds, it seemed like everything was back to the way it was. Manuel said, “It seems like everything’s finally back to the way it was.” Kayla grabbed her Keyblade and Manuel grabbed his Keyblade out from the ground. Kayla said, “Let’s see if everything is in good condition.” Manuel and Kayla made their back up to the main hall of the Mushroom Kingdom Castle. They stayed in the shadows and saw Princess Peach was sitting on her throne, where Mario and Luigi were standing near as well. Manuel quietly said, “Okay good. Now, everything is finally back to normal…” Manuel teleported back down to the hidden room, where the Memory Machine was. After Manuel appeared, Kayla appeared next to him. Kayla said, “Why are you back down here??” Manuel made his Keyblades disappear and he summoned his Staff of Sages. Manuel said, “This Memory Machine has ran its course.” Manuel summoned the power of his Staff of Sages and walked up to the Memory Machine. Manuel looked at it and with one strike of his Staff of Sages, it started to break apart and explode. Manuel talked into his watch and said, “Computer, teleport us back to the ship??” The Computer Voice on the watch said, “Teleporting now.” Suddenly, Manuel and Kayla disappeared and the Memory Machine exploded. Within seconds, Princess Peach came running down and saw that her Memory Machine was totally destroyed. Princess Peach walked up to the ruins and saw a crown in the rubble. Princess Peach picked it up and looked at it. She saw the symbol and said, “My mother’s symbol…” Princess Peach threw off her crown and placed on her newly found crown on top of her head. Suddenly, Princess Peach’s appearance started to slowly change, and it started with her hair. Her hair was magically changed to long black straight hair. Princess Peach said, “My mother’s crown still contained some of her power…” Now, with her new crown, Princess Peach went back up to the main hall.
Back on the ship, Manuel and Kayla came walking out of the teleportation room. Manuel said, “Let’s place this Light Scepter and see who’s name pops up…” Since Kayla had the Light Scepter, she started walking towards The Seven Scepters Room. Once they walked into the room, she placed the Light Scepter on the pedestal, next to the Dark Scepter. After Manuel placed it on the pedestal, it started to float and four symbols glowed. Manuel read the symbols and said, “Hera??” Kayla said, “Hera is another one of my characters. How is this possible?? They are just random drawings I once had.” Manuel said, “Hmm… We have Rinx and Hera. That’s four of us, thus far.” Right after Manuel said that, the alarm went off. Manuel and Kayla left the Scepter Room and walked into the Computer Room. Manuel activated his computer and the transmission started. On screen, a young woman said, “My name is Princess Ashe. We are having trouble figuring out who’s controlling the lighting strikes here. We need your help, Great Sage. No time to chat. Please come and help us.” Suddenly, the transmission cut out. Manuel said, “Computer, set our next destination for the World of Final Fantasy.” The Computer Voice said, “A new place to explore?? Our ETA will be 15 hours and 38 minutes. Awake a few hours before we arrive to train??” Kayla said, “That sounds good. Can we do that by alarm again??” The Computer Voice said, “Yes I can do that, Kayla.” Manuel said, “Then, finalize it and set our course, Computer.” The Computer Voice said, “Done.” Manuel and Kayla left the Computer Room and went to their room. Manuel said, “Let’s get some sleep. That disastrous castle falling on us did hurt.” Kayla said, “I hear you on that.” Manuel and Kayla got in their comfier clothes and laid down on their bed. Within a few minutes, Manuel and Kayla were sound asleep. However, in the living room, the Bluish Figure summoned the colorful Figures again. The Bluish Figure said, “Well, they now know who commands the Light Scepter…” The Bluish Figure looked at the Light Figure and said, “They know who you are, Hera.” The Light Figure, named Hera, said, “Well, I guess it’s only a matter of time until they are able to name us all.” The Bluish Figure said, “And, Princess Peach found something that you and I have to talk about…” The Bluish Figure said, “My Sages… I bid you all a fond farewell.” The other figures disappeared, except for Hera. The Bluish Figure and Hera walked into the Bluish Figure’s room and she shut the door. With the ship on its direct course for a new world even for Manuel and Kayla to explore, they were determined to gather all Seven Scepters of the Sages without fail. With Manuel and Kayla getting well-deserved rest, the ship was quiet and silent. In the Bluish Figure’s room, she and Hera were about to discuss matters. Hera said, “What is that you want to talk to me about??” The Bluish Figure magically locked her room and turned around to face Hera. The Bluish Figure said, “Why was your crown found in Mushroom Kingdom and why does Princess Peach feel like it’s her birthright??” Hera was at a loss of words, but knew that something was discovered.
Silent and swiftly, the ship made its way to a new destination for Manuel and Kayla. Though the ship was flying silently through space, inside the ship, Manuel was awake and walking about the ship. After walking into the living room, Manuel sat down on the couch. Suddenly, Valmar appeared next to him. Valmar said, “Having fun hunting for the Scepters??” Manuel said, “Thus far, we’ve managed to find two Scepters.” Valmar said, “Yeah, Rinx and Hera.” Manuel turned his head to look at Valmar and said, “How do you know about them??” Valmar said, “I’ve known them since we all became Sages… I also know the other three that you will find.” Manuel was thinking about what Valmar said and said, “Wait… If me, Kayla, Rinx, and Hera are the four and you are five… How is there three left??” Valmar said, “You will know soon enough, Manuel.” Suddenly, Valmar disappeared. Manuel was still lost about what Valmar said, but got back up and walked back into the bedroom. Once he entered, he saw that Kayla was awake and getting dressed. Manuel said, “I see that you are getting ready, my Apprentice.” Kayla looked at Manuel and said, “Yeah, I figured that we could get ready for our next adventure… Do you know or remember anything about our next adventure??” Manuel said, “To tell you the truth, I’ve never been to this place.” Kayla said, “Out of all the adventures you done, you have never gone to this world??” Manuel shook his head no and Kayla said, “That’s weird… I’m about ready to go… Shall we??” Manuel said, “I don’t think we’re even near the world.” Suddenly, Manuel and Kayla heard the alarm go off. Manuel said, “To the Computer Room…” Manuel and Kayla left their room and went into the Computer Room. Manuel saw that there was an incoming transmission live from their next destination. Manuel activated the transmission and a young lady appeared on the screen, wearing royalty clothes and having a sword sheathed to her hip. Manuel said, “You must be Princess Ashe.” On screen, the young girl said, “My name is Princess Ashe. You two must be Manuel and Kayla, two of The Seven Sages.” Manuel said, “You have that right. Now, why have you requested our help??” On screen, Princess Ashe said, “Upon our world, Thunder and Lightning Magicks have been wildly attacking us, in the open fields… We know that the only thing that can control the Lightning and/or Thunder elements is the Lightning Scepter. We have suspicion that your Lightning Scepter is on our world.” Manuel said, “That’s a pretty big suspicion, Princess Ashe. Who do you think is controlling the Lightning Scepter, Vayne Solidor??” On screen, Princess Ashe said, “We believe that is a possibility, but we destroyed him a long time ago… And since then, it’s only been recent that this occurrence has appeared.” Manuel said, “You first thought that it might’ve been the Thunder or Lightning Elements that are floating around??” On screen, Princess Ashe said, “You know… For never visiting our world, you sure do know a lot about what’s happened…” Manuel said, “I like to further my studies in all aspects, Princess Ashe. We will be on our way shortly. Are you all located in Rabanastre??” On screen, Princess Ashe said, “Yes, we will send our retrieval party for you, when you arrive… And Manuel??” Manuel said, “Yes, Princess Ashe??” On screen, Princess Ashe smiled big, blushed, and said, “You can call me ‘Ashe’… See you when you get here.” The transmission ended. Manuel said, “Well, that wasn’t noticeable, right Kayla??” Kayla laughed and said, “She was soo hitting on you.” Manuel laughed and said, “I know… That was easily noticeable…” The Computer Voice said, “We have reached our destination and the teleportation room is prepared for immediate teleportation.” Manuel said, “Nicely done, Computer.” Manuel turned to Kayla and said, “Shall we get a move on??” Kayla led the way to the Teleportation Room. Once they entered the room and stepped upon the platform, Kayla said, “How did you know about her world and everything that happened??” Manuel said, “Computer, teleport us to the Teleport Crystal, outside of Rabanastre.” The Computer Voice said, “Teleporting now…” Manuel turned to Kayla and said, “It’s because I played Final Fantasy XII.” Kayla laughed and said, “I thought soo.” Suddenly, the bright light filled the room and Manuel and Kayla were gone from the ship.
Once Manuel and Kayla appeared near the Teleport Crystal, they entered the Town of Rabanastre. They saw many people moving about and talking. Manuel said, “I remember having to come back here and buy much stuff. Anyways, Princess Ashe said she was sending her retrieval party for us…” As Manuel and Kayla were walking around the front of the town, a party of small bear-like creatures ran up to them and one of the said, “You come with us, please??” Though Kayla was about to ask, Manuel said, “Lead the way, Moogles.” Kayla said, “Oh these are the Moogles… They look different when you actually see them, in person.” Manuel said, “I know what you mean.” Manuel and Kayla followed the party of Moogles to a secret hide-out, where they met the other adventurers. Manuel said, “None of you look different from your last adventure to defeat Vayne.” A tall, short blonde male, named Vaan, said, “Were we suppose to change??” Manuel said, “Anyways, what is the current situation??” A young girl, wearing a one-piece suit with her bright blonde hair in small pigtails, named Penelo, said, “As far as we know, the Thunder and Lightning magicks are wildly out of control and keep appearing. We can’t even control our own element attacks that are Thunder and Lightning based…” An older male, with a big scar above his left eye that stretches halfly across his head with short blonde hair, named Basch, said, “We have to travel to the City of Archades. I believe that we should leave now… We can always discuss our tactics later…” Princess Ashe, wearing a short mini pink skirt and a tight shirt that covered her back, chest, and stomach, said, “Always ready to battle…” Kayla said, “I actually agree with Basch, Manuel. I think we should just head out and discuss tactics as we travel along.” Manuel said, “Well, I’ve always trusted your judgment… I am on board with this. Our first objective is to head to the City of Archades to find Vayne Solidor. That would be the first place where he would go.” A tall bunny-like woman, with a long bow, named Fran and a young male that looked like he was a womanizer, named Balthier, came walking in. Balthier said, “Did we miss something??” Fran took a bow and said, “This is The Great Sage, Manuel and his Apprentice, Kayla.” Balthier said, “Ah… These are the two Sages that can help??” Manuel said, “Do you doubt our power, Balthier??” Balthier said, “I’m just waiting to see if you actually possess the power that Fran has always talked about…” Fran straightened up and said, “I do apologize for his behavior, Sages.” Manuel put up his hand and said, “Fran, protector of this world, don’t worry about it.” Balthier said, “You really are the protector of our world??” Kayla said, “She wouldn’t be, if we didn’t believe she had the power. Anyways, shall we??” Manuel and Kayla led everyone out and to the Teleport Crystal. Once they gathered around it, Manuel and Kayla tried to activate it. Suddenly, the Teleport Crystal exploded, sending the group outward from the Teleport Crystal. The towns-people ran into Town and it became deserted. Manuel and Kayla got back up. Manuel said, “Now that wasn’t what I had planned…” Kayla said, “Is Archades closed off??” The others got back up and met up with Manuel and Kayla. Vaan said, “You think that Vayne is already there??” Manuel said, “I’m hoping that he hasn’t… But it looks like we’re gonna have to travel there, by foot. I’ll let you all lead the way.” Once they discussed tactics, they left Rabanastre to head due north to the City of Archades.
Some days and nights have passed and the team have made much progress. However, they found themselves having to keep on battling against the Lightning and Thunder magicks that were striking around them. Due to the attacks, the team had to take a detour and ended up in a place called Nabeus Deadlands. The Thunder and Lightning strikes were soo out of control in this land, that it actually attacked the team, physically. Vaan was leading the team, soo he led them into an abandoned temple called the Necrohal of Nabudis. Once they walked past the entrance, a wall fell and blocked the entrance. Manuel and Kayla tried to use their powers to open the door, but nothing worked. Kayla said, “How can this happen??” Manuel turned around and saw that Vaan wasn’t standing around. Manuel said, “Where the hell is Vaan?!” Suddenly, everyone else started to realize that Vaan was nowhere to be found. Hearing sounds and voices in the ancient temple, the team was stirring about in discontent. Balthier said, “Soo, now what?!” Manuel said, “Well, we’re not going to be able to leave this place through the entrance.” Kayla turned around and said, “We’re going to continue our way through this place. Keep your eyes out for Vaan, because I’m starting o suspect that he led us here to begin with.” Kayla pointed at the others and said, “Balthier, Fran, Ashe, Penelo, and Basch… I want you five to go due east, then north. Fight your way and be safe. Manuel, we’re going this way.” Kayla took Manuel and went north, then turned west, leaving the other team behind. Once they were out of sight of the others, Manuel said, “You mind telling me what you’re thinking about??” Kayla said, “I think we should get moving and find Vaan.” As Manuel and Kayla kept on walking through the Necrohal of Nabudis, they kept on talking. Manuel said, “You think that Vaan has something to hide??” Kayla said, “He has more than that, Manuel. I know that he is in command of The Lightning Scepter.” Manuel stopped Kayla and said, “How the hell do you know that, Kayla??” Kayla said, “I noticed that he has been using Lightning attacks discreetly.” Manuel said, “I’ve noticed that the Lightning attacks were more concentrated, when we were around Vaan.” Manuel and Kayla came across a room that had a lot of vases, standing in three rows of seven. They entered the room and looked at all the vases. Kayla said, “Soo, where to start…” Manuel counted the vases and walked to the one he stopped on. Manuel said, “We’ll start here…” Manuel opened the lid and inside contained a small spear weapon. Manuel grabbed it out of the vase and the other vases disappeared. Manuel said, “This is the Zodiac Spear… A spear of this world’s legend.” Kayla said, “There goes any treasure.” Manuel said, “If chosen correctly, this was the ONLY treasure in here.” Manuel and Kayla left the treasure room and kept heading north. As they kept on walking, Kayla said, “How did you know which one to choose??” Manuel said, “It’s a trick I picked up, when I was playing Final Fantasy XII. Soo, I assumed that they didn’t find any of the treasure that are not to be touched.” Kayla said, “And it seems you have assumed correctly.” Manuel summoned the Zodiac Spear. The spear was almost as tall as Manuel, but light enough to wield professionally. Manuel and Kayla walked into a round room, with many entrances. Suddenly, the entrances started to close. Manuel and Kayla gazed as all the entrances quickly shut. Manuel said, “Did we walk into a trap??” Suddenly, a lightning bolt tried to strike. Manuel blocked it with the Zodiac Spear and looked around to see where the attack came from. A voice said, “You Sages couldn’t leave well enough alone.” Suddenly, a lightning orb formed in the center of the room. A voice said, “I wield my Lightning Scepter and I’m not about to let you Sages take what’s mine.” The lightning orb shattered and a person landed on the ground, with the Lightning Scepter in his hand. Manuel said, “Kayla, you were right.” Kayla said, “Vaan was in control of the Lightning Scepter this entire time.” With the lightning glow disappearing, Vaan said, “Very well done, Sages. When I started wielding this wonderful Scepter, I started to plan my next and final mission to take full control of the throne.” Manuel said, “What good would have done you??” Kayla said, “You’re not a leader. You’re more of a pilot and adventurer.” Vaan said, “Shut up!!” Vaan swiped the Lightning Scepter towards Kayla, sending a furious lightning bolt her way. Manuel jumped in the way and held out his hand. Once the bolt struck Manuel’s hand, Manuel could feel the bolt’s power almost piercing him. Manuel managed to re-harness the lightning bolt and send it back to Vaan. Vaan didn’t count on Manuel reflecting his attack and ended up getting hit by his own lightning bolt. Vaan was sent flying into the wall, making an echo throughout the entire temple. Vaan fell from the imprint on the wall to the ground and looked back at Manuel. Manuel, still with his hand held out, said, “Don’t ever attempt an attack on my Apprentice. You are too dangerous to leave un-attended for. We will be taking the Lightning Scepter from you.” Vaan got back to his feet and said, “Then, let’s see you take it from me.” Vaan flew at them, gripping the Lightning Scepter to attack. Kayla jumped in the way, wielding her Staff of the Apprentice. Kayla said, “Watch what I can do.” Kayla stood her ground and once Vaan clashed with Kayla, the power was soo intensified that the temple was shaking immensely. Still looking through the temple, the others felt the vibrations and were wondering where it was coming from. Princess Ashe said, “I think they found who has the Lightning Scepter.” Penelo softly said, “Oh no… They know it’s Vaan…” Fran heard Penelo and said, “Vaan has the Lightning Scepter?!” Everyone else turned around and looked at her. Penelo said, “Yes… He’s has the Lightning Scepter for quite a while now. I promised I wouldn’t say anything, but he quickly got out of control…” Basch said, “How can you let Vaan do something like this??” Penelo said, “He promised me half of the kingdom…” She quickly covered her mouth, stunned that she told what Vaan’s plan was. Princess Ashe said, “Half the kingdom?! My kingdom?!” Penelo said, “Vaan was going to use the Lightning Scepter to eliminate everyone and we could take control of the kingdom.” Princess Ashe said, “How could you do something like this to us?! After everything we’ve done together, you still want to take control of my kingdom?!” Penelo said, “I finally told him that I’m not doing this. He almost destroyed me, but he decided not to. He said that he needed to save his energy and power for the two Sages that were coming here.” Balthier said, “Do you know where he was going to lead us??” Penelo said, “He wanted me to lead you all to the center room. But, I can’t remember where it was.” Princess Ashe said, “I know where it is. Let’s go.” The other team made their way to where the center room was. Back in the center room, Manuel and Kayla managed to catch a quick breath from battling Vaan. Kayla said, “We have got to get that Scepter from him.” Manuel was about to speak, until he was struck by a lightning bolt that sent him flying through one of the entrances of the center room. Once Manuel landed, a voice said, “Nice to see you again, Manuel.” Manuel looked up and saw that it was Princess Ashe. Manuel said, “All of you. I want you to get Vaan. Now!” The others didn’t argue and ran into the center room to battle Vaan. After the others ran in, Kayla came running out to help Manuel. After Manuel got back up with the help of his Apprentice, Manuel said, “We should just let them battle things out.” Manuel and Kayla watched as the others battled against Vaan. However, one by one, the others were killed by Vaan’s powerful lightning attacks. Once Princess Ashe was the last to fall, Manuel and Kayla stepped back in and hit Vaan hard with a large variety of attacks. Within a few minutes, they managed to bring Vaan down and managed to take away the Lightning Scepter from him. Manuel and Kayla were going to leave, until Vaan got back up and started running towards them. Manuel and Kayla turned around and saw that Vaan was about to attack them in a last attempt to fight back. Manuel and Kayla held up their hands towards Vaan. Manuel summoned a Dark Power-ball and Kayla summoned a Light Power-ball. Right when Vaan was close enough, Manuel and Kayla fired their magic at him and Vaan dropped to the ground, dead. Manuel said, “I didn’t want to have to resort to doing this. But, Vaan left us no choice.” Kayla said, “Maybe it was meant to happen.” Manuel said, “I don’t know… Let’s just get out of here… I hate having to keep destroying important good people that get caught up in power…” Manuel activated his watch and said, “Computer, teleport us back to the ship.” On the watch, the Computer Voice said, “Teleporting now, Manuel.” Kayla said, “Why would Vaan do this for a kingdom he knows he can’t truly control??” Manuel said, “He wanted to be a pilot and being the ruler of the kingdom would allow him to be a pilot.” Kayla said, “Why didn’t he just take the ship that he could have gotten after they defeated Vayne??” Manuel said, “Because, before he was given the choice, he probably found the Scepter.” Manuel and Kayla disappeared from the temple, leaving the bodies of the team deep within the temple.
Finally back on the ship, Manuel and Kayla walked out from the Teleportation Room. Manuel and Kayla walked to the Seven Scepters Room and placed the Lightning Scepter upon its pedestal and Manuel read the symbols, “Sabishixi.” Kayla said, “Sabi?? She’s another character of mine.” Manuel said, “I think we’re starting to find people that only you know. Any other names I should ask??” Kayla laughed and said, “None that come to my mind, for now…” the Computer Voice said, “Manuel, Kayla… You have a transmission from a Futle, Japan…” Kayla quickly said, “I know where that is!!” Kayla rushed to the Computer Room, while Manuel casually made his way to the Computer Room too. Manuel activated his computer and the transmission opened. On the screen, a dark haired young girl said, “Is this The Great Sage and his Apprentice??” Manuel was about to say something, until Kayla said, “It’s Kagome!!” On the screen, the young girl, named Kagome, said, “Hi Kayla. Anyways, we have a situation here. We cannot seem to control the winds in the other realm. One of the villagers told us that it was the ancient Wind Scepter that was being used on the other realm.” Manuel said, “Go back to the other realm and we will meet you there. I will try and pinpoint your location.” On the screen, Kagome said, “Okay. Me and InuYasha will be wondering around, trying to find the culprit.” Manuel saluted and ended the transmission. Manuel said, “Computer, get us to that location.” The Computer Voice said, “En route now, Manuel. Our ETA is 14 hours and 29 minutes.” Manuel said, “Alert us 2 hours prior, by alarm clock.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel.” Manuel and Kayla walked to their room and got into comfier clothes. Once they laid down, the lights turned off and they quickly fell asleep. In the living room, the Bluish Figure and the other Figures appeared. The Bluish Figure said, “They found the Lightning Scepter and they now know who your name…” She turned to the Orange Figure and said, “They know you, Sabishixi.” The Orange Figure, named Sabishixi, said, “But, if you remember, my nickname is Sabi.” The Bluish Figure said, “Soon, they will know all of us. And we will all be able to be re-united and be The Seven Sages once more.” Hera said, “However, until then, I think we should lay low…” The Green Figure said, “Do you sense something??” The Bluish Figure said, “I kinda do. We should definitely get going.” The other Figures disappeared, but the Bluish Figure stayed. The Bluish Figure said to herself, “For some reason… I sense someone from Manuel’s past…” With a heavy thought of an evil in Manuel’s past, the Bluish Figure disappears from the ship. With Manuel and Kayla silently sleeping and the ship flying to its next destination, their next adventure was going to take a new turn for them both.
The ship was flying through the universe, traveling to their next adventure that would take them to a new world that Kayla knew a little more better than Manuel did. Within their room, an alarm went off. Manuel woke up and shut off the alarm. Manuel turned over and kissed Kayla on her cheek. Kayla smiled and turned around and gave Manuel a kiss on his lips. Manuel said, “Good morning, my Apprentice…” Kayla said, “Is it morning??” Manuel laughed a bit and said, “I don’t really know… But, who cares…” Kayla laughed a bit and said, “Yeah, besides, we should be getting ready.” Manuel said, “Then, let’s get ready. We have time. Meet you in the shower.” Manuel got up and walked into the bathroom, with Kayla following closely behind. The shower water started and small giggles were coming from the bathroom. In the living room, the Bluish Figure was sitting on the couch. As she carefully heard the giggles, she said, “Must they… Man, I already have the urges to jump in the shower… It wouldn’t be my first time with him and another girl…” Suddenly, she heard the bedroom door open and she quickly disappeared. Manuel and Kayla came walking out from their room, fully dressed and ready to depart. Kayla said, “I haven’t tried that position in a long time…” Manuel said, “Me neither. But, it was a spur of the moment position that I thought we could try again…” Kayla said, “Next time, we should stretch a little before attempting that position again…” Manuel said, “I definitely agree. Anyways, let’s see if…” The Computer Voice said, “We have arrived. The Teleportation Room is ready for departure, Manuel and Kayla.” Manuel said, “Nevermind. You answered my question. Let’s go see your world, Kayla.” Kayla was overly excited and went along with Manuel into the Teleportation Room. Manuel said, “Teleport us nearby their location, if possible.” The Computer Voice said, “I can teleport you to their last known rest location and they headed due north. Is that okay??” Kayla said, “We’ll take it.” The Computer Voice said, “Teleporting now…” Kayla said, “I can’t wait to see InuYasha… I’ve always wanted to see him in person…” Manuel said, “And you will have the chance.” With the bright flash of light, Manuel and Kayla were gone from the ship.
Once they appeared, Manuel and Kayla looked around and saw nothing currently going on. Manuel said, “Computer said that they left due north… We should leave and try and find their path.” Manuel slammed his Staff of Sages into the ground and said, “Staff of Sages, point north for our destination.” The Staff of Sages turned a bit and shined a blue line of light to point north. Kayla said, “Shall we??” Manuel grabbed his Staff of Sages and they started to run due north to try and find InuYasha and the others. After a couple of minutes of running through the forest, Manuel and Kayla came across a group of demons attacking people. Manuel said, “They’re being attacked. We should make…” Manuel turned to his side and saw that Kayla wasn’t there. Manuel looked back ahead and saw that Kayla was already running to attack with her Keyblade. Manuel laughed a bit and said, “Should’ve known…” Manuel ran to catch up with Kayla, but Kayla was already in the battle. Kayla was able to defeat what demons were left. Just before one last demon tried to take down InuYasha, Manuel jumped from behind and blasted the demon with the power of the Staff of Sages. Once Manuel landed back down, Kayla came back to his side. Manuel said, “I thought you guys would be hard to catch.” InuYasha took out his sword, called the Tensegia, and took aim at Manuel. Manuel defended himself and instantly knocked out InuYasha’s sword from his hands. Manuel softly blasted InuYasha back and he landed on the ground. Manuel said, “You are quick, InuYasha… But, not quick enough.” Kayla ran and grabbed the Tensegia and started wielding it and mess around with it. Manuel said, “Just leave her. She’s been wanting to wield that sword for quite some time… Soo, tell me… Who’s commanding the Wind??” Kagome walked up to them and said, “Well, it’s a good thing you managed to find us.” InuYasha said, “We don’t know who’s commanding the Wind… But, every soo often, a huge gust of Wind will knock us down.” Kagome said, “We know that whoever’s controlling the Wind Scepter, is aiming the Wind at us purposely.” Manuel was about to say something until a huge gust of Wind attacked them and sent them down to the ground. Manuel was about to get up, but then something landed on his back. Manuel turned his head to his left side and saw a sword that was merely centimeters away from his face. Manuel said, “Kayla, honey??” Kayla said, “Yeah??” Manuel said, “Can you please move the sword away from my face?? It’s very very close…” Kayla laughed a bit and said, “Oh sowwy…” Kayla managed to roll off Manuel’s back and removed the sword from the ground. Manuel managed to get up and helped Kayla back to her feet. Manuel said, “Now, I see what you’re talking about.” Suddenly, Kayla was staring off in the distance and pointed in her direction. Manuel said, “What do you see, Kayla??” Kayla said, “Someone or something… In the woods… Follow me and try and keep up.” Kayla started running fast to where she was looking. Manuel said, “Try and keep up, guys.” Manuel and the others quickly followed Kayla, while she ran through the forest. After running through the dark parts of the forest for a couple of minutes, Kayla came to an abrupt stop. Manuel stopped the same and managed to stop the others. Kayla pointed and softly said, “In the grove… A shadow-like figure…” Everyone ducked low and peaked through the bushes. Manuel saw the shadow-like figure and it was wielding the Wind Scepter. Manuel said, “This may be our shortest mission, Kayla. Now, all we have to do is get the Wind Scepter from this shadow.” Kayla said, “Let’s see how quick it is to react to a surprise attack. Suddenly, the shadow turned its head towards where they were and swiped the Wind Scepter towards them, sending a powerful gust of Wind. Manuel and Kayla stood up and held out their hands, projecting a powerful shield that deflected the Wind attack. Manuel said, “InuYasha… You’ve been wanting to get your hands on the culprit that’s controlling the Wind… Here’s your chance.” InuYasha went to grab for his sword, but noticed that it was still missing. InuYasha said, “Where’s my sword??” Kayla finally realized it and said, “Oh yeah… Here.” Kayla gave the Tensegia back to InuYasha. Once InuYasha took hold of it, the sword was 5 times its size and InuYasha ran down to face the shadow. Kagome and Kayla went down, but stayed a bit of ways away and decided to use their bows to attack this shadow. Manuel summoned his double Keyblades and jumped into the battle, taking a slash at the shadow.
As the battle raged on and neither sides are giving up, Manuel and InuYasha managed to catch a break, after they struck the shadow together. Manuel said, “We need to take the Wind Scepter from this shadow. As soon as I can get that Wind Scepter, the sooner this battle will end.” Kagome saw the shadow coming back and took a shot with her bow. The shadow decided to fully use its powers and launched back Kagome’s arrow. Kagome wasn’t fast enough and the arrow pierced through her head, causing her to fall and be silenced. InuYasha saw what happened and went into a fit of rage, causing him to morph into a Full-Fledged Demon. InuYasha used his new powers to defeat the shadow. The shadow took some pretty powerful hits, but it also bested InuYasha. The shadow used InuYasha’s final move against him and it ended InuYasha’s quest to become a permanent demon. Kayla saw what had happened and summoned her double Keyblades and viciously attacked the shadow, trying to bring it down. With Kayla’s rage out of control and Manuel’s powerful attacks, they both were able to bring down the shadow, for good. Manuel grabbed the Wind Scepter from the ground. Manuel said, “Again, the good is slain by the power of the Seven Scepters…” Kayla was still in her raged mode and turned to Manuel. Knowing that look well, he knew that she wasn’t going to stop until she either kills or runs out of power. Manuel didn’t want to be killed and didn’t want her killing some innocent life, soo he decided to defend her attacks until she ran out of power. It didn’t take long for Kayla to snap back and realize that she was attacking Manuel. Manuel said, “You finally thinking better??” Kayla said, “What happened??” Manuel said, “After you saw Kagome’s and InuYasha’s death happen right before your very eyes, you went into your Rage Mode and we basically managed to destroy the shadow. And now that we have the Wind Scepter, we can leave this place and probably head to our next adventure.” Kayla said, “I never wanted InuYasha and Kagome to suffer this fate…” Manuel looked at them and said, “Yeah, my thoughts exactly. But, when power is in one’s control, it becomes in control of one’s mind. I wish there was a better outcome.” Kayla sighed and said, “But, what exactly can we do… We’ve been instructed to collect the Seven Scepters and we are doing just that.” Manuel sighed and said, “Yeah, you are most definitely right. Let’s head back out.” Manuel activated his watch and said, “Computer, teleport us back onto the ship. We have the Wind Scepter.” Suddenly, a huge gust of wind overtook Manuel and Kayla and they fell, and Manuel accidentally dropped the Wind Scepter. When Manuel went to grab it, a shadow figure grabbed it and stood before him. Manuel and Kayla quickly got back to their feet, looking at the shadow figure that had the Wind Scepter. Just before Manuel and Kayla were to speak, the shadow figure said, “It is a true honor to see you, once again… But, for now, I shall wait until you are ready… I will be waiting for the Dawn of the Second Age, Manuel…” The shadow figure disappeared and the Wind Scepter dropped to the floor. Manuel and Kayla covered their faces, just before she disappeared. Once they looked again, they saw that the Wind Scepter was on the ground. Manuel said, “Who was that??...” Kayla said, “Two things… I was kinda able to recognize her voice, but who was she, exactly… And secondly, what did she mean by the Dawn of the Second Age??” Manuel said, “I’m not entirely sure… But, if I remember, it may be something about the Sages…” On Manuel’s watch, the Computer Voice said, “Teleporting now…” Manuel quickly held out his hand and the Wind Scepter quickly went to Manuel’s hand, just before they disappeared.
Once they were back on the ship, Manuel and Kayla made their way to the Seven Scepter’s Room. Once they opened the door, they gazed upon the three other Scepters they’ve collected. Manuel said, “We are getting steps closer to finding these Scepters and finally knowing the names of our other Sages.” Kayla said, “I just hope that we find them soon, soo we can return to our home. I’m sure we’re both ready to find out what we have left to complete.” Manuel said, “I definitely agree with you, my love. Now, let’s head to bed.” Once Manuel said that, the alarm went off. Manuel said, “Sure, once I saw something…” Kayla laughed a bit and said, “I hate it when that happens…” Manuel and Kayla walked to the Computer Room and went to activate the transmission. Manuel and Kayla saw an old man, standing in a large medieval room, that looked like it came from a castle. Manuel said, “Emperor Uriel Septim??” On screen, the Emperor said, “Ah, you must be The Great Sage, Manuel and the Apprentice, Kayla. You already know who I am. I don’t have much time left and none have been able to step up and claim the right to lead my kingdom right. Soo, I decided to look back into the archives and I found you two… I’m actually wondering where is the third one… The Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, Krimson…” Manuel said, “We haven’t heard from him, since our last adventure. I hope he’s okay.” On screen, the Emperor said, “We could really use his help. The Oblivion Gates have risen and the fire has been out of control. At first we thought it was the Daedric Princes, but my men have came back from the Planes of Oblivion and they have informed me that someone is using the ancient Fire Scepter upon our world.” Manuel said, “Don’t worry much, my Emperor. We will be there, as soon as possible. Have your men use any and all resources that you can to keep the enemy at bay. We shall appear in the Market Town of the Imperial City.” On screen, the Emperor said, “Thank you soo much, Arch-Mage and Gray Fox. If I’m not here, you must take control of the situation and do what is necessary to defeat this threat that looms upon this world.” Manuel said, “Have no worries, we shall be there.” Manuel saluted the Emperor and ended the transmission. Manuel said, “We could use David’s help, right now…” Kayla said, “Let’s just hope that we can get to him this time…” Kayla opened a new transmission and hit record. Manuel said, “Hey there, Krimson… I’m hoping that you get this next transmission… We have a mission that we could definitely use your help, Krimson… Emperor Uriel Septim has contacted us and…” Manuel looked and Kayla and Kayla said, “He wants us to help defeat the Daedric Prince that’s controlling the Fire Scepter. Soo, please, I hope you get this transmission and that you answer it and come back on the ship to help us.” Manuel said, “Hopefully you have one more mission in you, my old friend. And it’s going to be in a world we are able to exercise our full missionary powers and tactics… Soo please, my Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, let’s complete another mission again…” Manuel and Kayla saluted and Manuel ended the transmission and Manuel typed in the recipient and sent it to David, in hopes that he would get through. The Computer Voice said, “Something is still blocking transmissions… I shall continue to try, Manuel.” Manuel sighed and said, “I hope it goes through, this time…” Kayla said, “Manuel?? Did we ever find out who was on the Wind Scepter??” Manuel then realized that he was still holding it. Manuel laughed a bit and said, “Oh yeah, thanks Kayla. Let’s go find out who’s on this Scepter…” Manuel and Kayla left the Computer Room and walked into the Seven Scepter Room and Manuel placed the Wind Scepter on its rightful pedestal, directly across from the Dark Scepter of Rinx. The Wind Scepter started to float upon its pedestal and six symbols appeared. Manuel read them and said, “Shadow??” Kayla said, “She’s another character of mine, but she’s more different than the others…” Manuel softly said, “Valmar… I found your love’s Scepter…” Manuel looked back at Kayla and said, “How different??” Kayla said, “Well, I drew her and played out her story that she’s trying to find her true love and she searches for him.” Manuel said, “Is that soo, Kayla…” Kayla smiled and said, “I never got around to finishing it, but I’m thinking that she eventually does.” Manuel thought to himself, “She does. And his name is Valmar…” Kayla yawned and said, “Should we head to bed??” Manuel yawned and said, “Yes, we shall. After you, my love.” Kayla led the way and they walked into their room. Manuel shut the door and turned off the lights. They got into comfier clothes and laid down and immediately fell asleep. In the living room, the colorful Sages appeared. The Bluish Figure said, “My fellow Sages… They now know our names… And they now know your name…” She turned to the Greenish Figure and said, “They know you now, Shadow…” The Greenish Figure, named Shadow, said, “And I think Manuel already knows that Valmar is trying to find me.” The Bluish Figure said, “Rinx… Hera… Sabishixi or Sabi… and now, Shadow… Slowly, we are being revealed as the Seven Sages.” Sabi said, “Will they find out your name??” The Bluish Figure said, “I’m not entirely sure. If they do, then they do. But, until then, I think we should lay low, until Manuel and Kayla are ready to find us.” The other Sages agreed and disappeared. All the other figures disappeared, but the Bluish Figure stayed upon the ship. She quietly walked to her room and lightly tapped it with her weapon. The doors opened and she quickly slipped in and shut the doors and magically locked them. The ship was silently and swiftly flying to a world that Manuel knows very well. As the ship continues to fly, in the Computer Room, the screen clicked back on and on the screen, it said the words, “Transmission Sent to Krimson.”
Swiftly and silently, the ship flies through the universe to a world that Manuel has longed to fully exercise his magic upon. Within the ship, Manuel and Kayla were still asleep and their alarm wasn’t going off for another 30 minutes, a bright light shines from the Teleportation Room. From the master room, Manuel came walking out to get something to drink. A voice said, “Long time, no see… Sage of Time…” Manuel knew that voice and turned his head and said, “It’s good to know that you were safe, King of Haven…” Manuel’s long time friend and partner, David, came walking up. Manuel said, "Soo, your world was safe from the explosion??” David said, “Yes, it was. Though the explosion did tamper with the communications, the kingdom and town were safe.” Manuel said, “Soo, that’s why you weren’t able to contact me.” Manuel signaled for David to head towards the couch, while Manuel grabs a couple of Dr. Peppers from the fridge and a Wild Cherry Pepsi. Manuel brought the sodas to the couch and sat down. David said, “We were trying everything we could to restore the communications, but it wasn’t until the atmosphere started to change. I guess the explosion affected the atmosphere, thus rendering our communications useless. Soo, we put everything back together and I got both your messages. Soo, I didn’t waste anything gathering up my Dark Brotherhood attire and all the other stuff and I quickly teleported to your ship. Soo, here I am… Ready to fight alongside my brother, once more…” Manuel and David opened up their Dr. Peppers and Manuel said, “To fighting alongside each other, once again…” Suddenly, another soda opened and they looked to see Kayla, sitting behind Manuel. Kayla said, “It’s good to see you again, David…” David said, “Kayla, it’s been years…” Kayla raised her soda and said, “To fighting alongside each other, once again…” Manuel said, “Exactly what I said…” They all clanked their sodas together and took a drink together. They sat down their sodas on the table and Manuel said, “Soo, what have you been up to, back in Haven City…” David said, “Well, besides the communications being down, we expanded the city even more and we’re on the verge of connecting with a long-lost city that was left in the desert.” Manuel said, “I remember that city… Was there any people still alive??” David said, “We scouted the area, but nothing soo far.” Then, the alarm went off. Manuel said, “Let’s head out.” Manuel, Kayla, and David went to the Teleportation Room and stood on the platform. Manuel said, “Computer, teleport us to the Imperial City Market District.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel. Teleporting you three to destination: Imperial City Market District.” With a bright flash of light, Manuel, Kayla, and David were gone from the ship. However, once they disappeared, the Bluish Figure appeared in the living room. The Bluish Figure saw that the sodas were empty and that they were still fresh. The Bluish Figure said, “I just missed them… I don’t know why, but I can sense that something’s going to happen to them… I must look into this further…” The Bluish Figure walked to her door and tapped it with her weapon. Once she was inside her room, the door magically shut and locked with her spells.
Once they appeared in the Market District of the Imperial City, many of the people just went about their day, not really noticing. As they looked around, Manuel said, “Wow, it’s really a grand world that I’ve always wanted to go to…” David said, “It’s even bigger than we saw from the game…” Suddenly, guards came running up to them and one of them said, “You three must be the people our Emperor requested. Please follow us.” Manuel, Kayla, and David followed the guards, as they took them to the castle, where Emperor Uriel Septim was awaiting their arrival. Once they were inside the castle, they met the Emperor in the Main Hall. Manuel, Kayla, and David took a respectful bow towards the Emperor. The Emperor said, “Welcome, my Arch-Mage, my Gray Fox, and my Listener… Dark times have fallen upon my world…” Manuel, Kayla, and David stood up straight and Manuel said, “You mentioned that the Fire Scepter was being used within the Planes of Oblivion??” The Emperor said, “That’s what I was told. But, nonetheless, more and more Gates of Oblivion have been re-appearing and the ones that were shut down or destroyed have been reformed and re-activated.” Kayla said, “This does sound very serious…” David said, “The Gates of Oblivion almost destroyed all of Cyrodiil… And now, they are coming back to try again…” The Emperor said, “What should we do??” Just as Manuel went to say something, a fire attack breached the castle and the attackers broke through the glass of the Main Hall. David withdrew his double swords, Kayla withdrew her Sage Bow, and Manuel summoned his Staff of Sages. A big group of creatures in bright red robes were running towards them. Kayla started taking them some out, by shooting arrows at their heads, killing them instantly. David leaped into the back crowd and collided with many of them. A group of the attackers started to surround Manuel, but he gripped his Staff of Sages and at the precise moment, attacked all of them around him. Manuel defeated them easily, while David and Kayla were finishing up the rest of them. Once they were all defeated, Manuel, Kayla and David re-grouped. However, they noticed that the Emperor wasn’t around. They started to look around for him, but they couldn’t find him. Manuel said, “Split up and find him.” Manuel headed upstairs, while David ran in the next room, and Kayla made her way towards the front of the castle. As they all searched their places, David yelled out, “Over here!!” Manuel and Kayla magically appeared where David was. As they gazed upon the dead Emperor, Manuel said, “Well… Now we have a kingdom and continent to lead…” Kayla said, “Look… He’s holding something…” David grabbed it and it was a piece of parchment. David opened it up and his re-action was new. Manuel said, “What’s wrong, David??” David gave the note to Manuel and Manuel looked at it. Manuel’s re-action was the same as David’s. Kayla looked at it and was a bit confused. Manuel said, “These aren’t the writings from this world…” Kayla said, “It looks like it’s from…” David said, “It’s from the old world of Haven City.” Manuel said, “Here’s what it says…”
“To the King of Haven, your reign is coming to a close…”
David said, “We have to find the person who controls the Fire Scepter.” Manuel said, “Our only lead is that it’s within the Planes of Oblivion… Soo, I’m assuming that we can just walk to a Gate of Oblivion and keep on venturing deeper and deeper.” David said, “You still got your home that had all the weapons and armor and whatnot??” Manuel said, “Of course… I stored everything at the Frostcrag Spire. Should we head there first??” David said, “Yeah, we should gather up our best armor again…” Manuel said, “I know exactly what you’re talking about. Gather around.” Kayla stood closely to Manuel and David stood directly in front of him. Manuel tapped the ground with his Staff of Sages and they disappeared from the Emperor’s Castle.
Once they re-appeared inside the Frostcrag Spire, Manuel said, “David, head down to the storage and gather all the stuff we need. I’m going to make sure that the Altars are ready.” David nodded his head and walked upon the portal that teleported him down to the storage area. Manuel and Kayla made their way to the above platforms. Manuel re-lit the candles that were upon the Altars and the Altar of Spell-making and the Altar of Enchanting were re-activated. Manuel said, “I haven’t messed with these, in many years…” Kayla said, “I wanted to own one of these, but never was able to find one…” Manuel said, “Well, I would assume they would be hard to find on Earth…” Kayla laughed a bit and said, ‘Yeah, but it never hurts to hope right??” Manuel laughed a bit and said, “True true… You weren’t the only one searching for one…” David came running back up and said, “Got our stuff. You were right about saving the female armor…” Manuel said, “I always plan ahead, David… You of all people should know that.” David said, “That you always do.” Manuel took David’s Elven armor and said, “What would you like me to enchant it with??” David said, “Fortify my Sword and Hand-To-Hand on all of them.” Manuel said, “Okay. I’m going to use the Grand Soul Gems…” Manuel grabbed the Grand Soul Gems from the counter in the back and went back to the Altar of Enchanting. Manuel took the first three minutes to enchant all of David’s armor. Manuel said, “I’m assuming you’re going to use your double swords??” David said, “Oh yeah, can you enchant those too?? Fire, maybe??” Manuel exchanged David’s armor for David’s double swords and used two more Grand Soul Gems to upgrade David’s double swords to the highest abilities of Fire damage. Manuel gave David his swords and said, “Okay, fully upgraded and ready to go. I even managed to make the fire damage infinite, to where you don’t have to re-apply Soul Gems to re-fill it.” David said, “Nice… I’m going to head down and find some enemies to test out my newest stuff. Just call for me when you’re ready.” Manuel gave a nod and David ran out of the Frostcrag Spire. Manuel said, “Would you like to enchant your own armor and your bow, my love??” Kayla grabbed her Glass armor and placed it correctly. Manuel gave her the Grand Soul Gems and said, “Here you go…” Kayla said, “Can I enchant them with Ice Powers??” Manuel said, “You go ahead. You can enchant them to the highest of the abilities.” Kayla was excited and fully enchanted her armor and her Bow, that has the ability to freeze any enemy for a temporary 10 seconds. Manuel said, “You fully ready??” Kayla equipped herself with her Glass armor and Bow, that all glowed an Icicle Blue color, and said, “I’m set. Do you mind if I head outside and join David in battling??” Manuel gave her a kiss on her lips and said, “Not at all, Kayla.” Kayla smiled and gave Manuel a kiss on his lips. Kayla ran outside to test out her newest abilities. Manuel sighed and gathered up his Daedric armor and said, “It’s really good to have the team back together…” Manuel placed his Daedric armor correctly and grabbed the Grand Soul Gems. Manuel enchanted his Daedric armor with the highest levels of lightning powers. Once Manuel equipped himself with all of his Daedric armor, Manuel said, “Let’s go find that Fire Scepter.” Manuel summoned his Staff of Sages, tapped it on the ground, and teleported outside of Frostcrag Spire. Once Manuel re-appeared, he saw that Kayla and David were testing their weapons against the enemies that were around. Manuel pointed his Staff of Sages and a powerful lightning attack rendered each enemy lifeless. Kayla and David turned and saw that Manuel was standing in his armor. Manuel said, “Are you all ready??” David sheathed his swords and said, “Let’s do this.” Kayla placed her Bow back behind her and said, “I’m ready to retrieve that Fire Scepter.” Manuel said, “Then, let us venture to the nearest Oblivion Gate and make our adventure to retrieve that Fire Scepter.” David pointed south and said, “There’s an Oblivion Gate that about less than a minute away from here. Should we make haste??” Manuel said, “Lead the way, David.” David started running and Manuel and Kayla followed David to the Oblivion Gate. Once they came up to an Oblivion Gate, Manuel said, “Did you eliminate all the creatures here??” David said, “Yeah… I wanted to see if we could find a close enough gate and here’s one.” Manuel laughed a bit and said, “Again, by your lead, David.” David nodded his head and jumped through the Oblivion Gate. Manuel and Kayla followed David and they were now within the Planes of Oblivion.
Once in the Planes of Oblivion, Manuel, Kayla, and David gazed upon the fiery realm. Manuel said, “I thought that we’d seen the last of this realm…” David said, “Apparently, someone remembered that it still exists.” Suddenly, fire attacks started to appear and attack them. They managed to dodge all the attacks and find a small hiding spot. Manuel said, “Apparently, the Fire Scepter wielder knows we’re here… Soo, we have to move fast…” Manuel, Kayla, and David stuck close together and fought against as few enemies as they could. They managed to find an entrance to a Spire. They fought their way to the top of the Spire. Once they were at the top, where a Sigil should be at, Manuel said, “David… Shouldn’t there be a Sigil here, soo that we could be able to close the Oblivion Gate??” David said, “Yeah, but this is completely different…” Kayla said, “If that’s the case, then why is there a teleportal here…” Suddenly, it clicked in Manuel’s head and Manuel said, “David, this is the teleportal that led to the Eco Industrial Plant…” David realized it and said, “But, that isn’t possible… He should be dead…” Manuel said, “One way to find out… Let’s go.” Manuel, Kayla, and David jumped through the teleportal and they found themselves outside the destroyed Eco Industrial Plant that marked the defeat of Jak. As they looked around, Manuel said, “This is the place… But, why are we back here??” Suddenly, the Eco Industrial Plant crumbled and a creature was standing where the rubble fell. Manuel, Kayla, and David walked closer to see who it was. Once they were close enough for Kayla’s range of Bow attacks, the creature said, “Welcome back, Manuel and David…” David said, “This is impossible… We put you in that Dark Eco pool and Manuel filled it with the Light Eco, which cause this explosion…” The creature said, “That is correct, David… But, did you think that would totally destroy me?? After the explosion occurred and wiped out everything in this realm… I re-emerged and started to wonder around this realm. One day, I came across this…” The creature wielded the Fire Scepter. Manuel said, “Soo, it’s true… You do have the Fire Scepter, Jak.” The creature, named Jak, said, “That’s right, Manuel… And though the Light and Dark Eco may have altered my body and appearance… I have become much stronger.” David withdrew his double swords and said, “Let’s put that to the test, Jak. Round Two??” Jak gripped the Fire Scepter and said, “Round Two, David…” David and Jak clashed their weapons together and a loud and Fiery force almost knocked down Manuel and Kayla. Kayla said, “Should we help him??” Manuel said, “I don’t know…” Manuel yelled, “David, you want some help??” David yelled back, “Nope, I got it.” Kayla said, “Soo, what are we to do then??” Manuel summoned his Keyblades and said, “Let’s train.” Kayla summoned her Keyblades and said, “Nice idea.” Manuel and Kayla started battling against each other, while David and Jak were fighting to the death. Manuel and Kayla would catch each other at a stale-mate to check on how David’s doing and would go back to fighting each other. After almost an hour has passed, Manuel and Kayla looked back again and saw that David managed to defeat Jak again. Manuel and Kayla went to meet up with David and Manuel said, “You got Jak for good, this time, my friend…” Exhausted, David said, “Yeah… Let’s just get out of here.” David grabbed the Fire Scepter from Jak and they all left the realm and back to the Planes of Oblivion.
Once they were back in the Planes of Oblivion, Manuel said, “Alright, let’s get out of here… David, may I have the Fire Scepter??” David looked at the Fire Scepter and looked back at Manuel. David swiped the Fire Scepter to use its force to knock down Kayla, that was standing near the stairs. Then, David made a Fire Circle around himself and Manuel. Manuel said, “David, what are you doing?!” David placed the Fire Scepter on his belt and withdrew his double swords. Manuel said, “David, I’m not going to fight you. Just hand over the Fire Scepter soo, we can return to the ship and I can send you back to Haven City.” David said, “Not this time, Manuel… You’ve always gotten what you deserved… Now it’s my turn. And I’m starting by claiming the Fire Scepter as my own.” Manuel withdrew his double Keyblades and said, “Don’t make me have to take it, by force.” David said, “I would love to see you try… You can have the Fire Scepter, if you can kill me for it.” Manuel never heard David say something like to him before. Stunned at David’s remark, Manuel said, “David… We’ve been friends for many years… We’ve completed much adventures and missions together… I’m not about to eliminate the Co-Founder of the Kids Next Door and my best friend…” David said, “Friendship can only last for soo long… Let us find out who’s the best between you and me.” Without letting Manuel answer, David jumped at Manuel, taking a slash at him. Manuel defended himself and threw David aside. Manuel knew that he had to do something, soo he decided to fight against his own friend and adventurer. As they continued to clash weapons together and try and kill each other, Kayla could only stand on the outside of the Fire Circle and look on, hoping that Manuel can come out of this alive. From what seemed hours, Manuel and David were still fighting against each other. They finally caught a stale-mate and threw each other off. David landed on his feet, while Manuel landed on his feet too, but fell to one knee. David said, “You’re getting rusty, my friend…” Manuel said, “It’s been a very long time since I had to face you, David…” David took the opportunity and lunged at Manuel. Manuel didn’t have enough time to react and got pinned to the ground with David’s swords on each side of his neck. Manuel said, “You don’t have to do this, David… All you have to do is just hand over the Fire Scepter… Its power is controlling your thoughts and mind. Snap out of it.” David said, “You are wrong. And I will never hand over what should be mine.” David removed the swords from the ground and was ready to put them through Manuel’s body. Suddenly, a big Ice attack hit David and knocked him over. David quickly got back up and turned to face Kayla. Taking this one opportunity, Manuel got back up and stood in front of David. Manuel said, “I’m sorry for what I’m about to do…” Manuel held out both of his hands and summoned his most powerful Lightning attack and it pierced David’s heart, knocking him to the lower level. The Fire Circle disappeared and Kayla came running to Manuel’s side. Manuel slowly fell to his knees, realizing what he has done. Manuel said, “Help me up, Kayla…” Kayla helped Manuel up and they walked down the stairs and to the lower level, where David was. Once they reached him, Manuel fell down to his knees and managed to take back the Fire Scepter. David said, “My old friend… Do one more thing for me…” Manuel said, “Name it.” David gave him his badge and said, “When you contact Haven City, show them this badge and tell them to execute Order O-5. They will know what to do.” Manuel said, “It will be done, my friend…” David said, “I am sorry for letting the Fire power get this badly… But, at least we know who’s the better sword fighter.” Manuel said, “I still consider you the better fighter.” David laughed a bit and his last breath was breathed. Manuel sighed and said, “I never thought that this would happen…” Manuel activated his watch and said, “Computer, teleport us back to the ship.” On the watch, the Computer Voice said, “Any reason why I can’t find David’s location??” Manuel said, “Because, he’s dead… And it was my fault. He fought against me for the control of the Fire Scepter and I made the decision of eliminating him, for good…” On the watch, the Computer Voice said, “Ouch… Teleporting now…” Kayla said, “I’m sorry you had to do this, Manuel…” Manuel got back up and wrapped his arms around her and said, “As am I, Kayla… But, I’m happy that I will NEVER have to do such a thing to you…” Kayla wrapped her arms around Manuel and they both disappeared from the Planes of Oblivion.
Finally back on the ship, Manuel and Kayla walked out from the Teleportation Room and walked into the Seven Scepters Room. Manuel placed the Fire Scepter upon the pedestal that was directly across from the Light Scepter of Hera. The Fire Scepter started to float up and the Fire Scepter showed six symbols. Manuel looked at them and said, “Oh wow… I didn’t know that…” Kayla said, “Who’s Fire Scepter is it??” Manuel said, “His name is Valmar. He’s my other-side… He’s currently searching for his love… Her name is…” Kayla said, “Shadow. That’s right. I remember hearing his name…” Manuel said, “Exactly. Now, let’s go to the Computer Room…” Once they left the Seven Scepters Room and entered the Computer Room, Manuel sent an instant transmission to Haven City. On screen, the Krimson General appeared and said, “This is the General of the Krimson Guards.” Manuel simply showed him the badge and said, “Krimson, King of Haven, has issued the Order O-5.” On screen, the Krimson Guard was stunned and said, “As he wishes, Manuel. Thanks for updating us.” The transmission ended. Manuel said, “Computer, bring up the live feed of the cameras outside of David’s home-world.” The Computer Voice said, “Live feed coming online now…” Manuel watched the different camera views and within a few seconds, the entire world exploded. Shocked, Manuel said, “Oh my… By the Sages, David ordered the end of his world…” Kayla said, “I never thought he meant that…” Manuel said, “Neither did I, Kayla…” Suddenly, all the live feeds were cut off. The Computer Voice said, “All live feeds are gone.” Manuel said, “Never did I think that David would mean such a motive for his home-world.” Kayla said, “Should we check if there is any new transmissions??” Manuel said, “Yeah, let’s do that…” Manuel checked his computer and saw that there was a new transmission. Manuel opened it and on the screen, Sora, Riku, and Kairi were on the screen. Kayla said, “It’s the gang from Kingdom Hearts!!” Manuel played back the transmission. On screen, Sora said, “Manuel, it’s Sora and all of us. We are requesting your help.” On screen, Kairi said, “King Mickey has gone missing and even worse… The Ice Scepter is missing, as well…” On screen, Riku said, “We will explain more, when you get here… Do hurry.” Then, the transmission was cut off. Manuel said, “I’m going to assume that they may have had your Ice Scepter in their possession…” Kayla said, “Soo, our next adventure is to the Realm of Kingdom Hearts?!” Manuel said, “Yes, it is. And we will be retrieving your Ice Scepter.” Kayla said, “Awesomeness!! Computer, set our course to the Realm of Kingdom Hearts. Alert us at least an hour before arrival and by alarm clock, please…” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Kayla…” Manuel said, “Let’s get some sleep… I need to rest, from these battles…” Manuel and Kayla walked to their room and shut the doors. Once they were in comfier clothes, they laid down and quickly fell asleep. As they were asleep, from within the living room, the Bluish Figure summoned all the other Sages. Shadow said, “What have you summoned us for, this time??” The Bluish Figure said, “My fellow Sages… Manuel have suffered a tremendous blow…” Valmar quickly appeared and said, “What did I miss??” Rinx said, “Something happened to Manuel…” Valmar said, “What happened to him??... I have to know…” Suddenly, a voice came from behind them that said, “Something did happen, yes…” The Bluish Figure and Valmar turned around and the other Sages turned and saw Manuel. Manuel said, “I’m surprised to know that there’s secret meeting going on behind my back, but nonetheless, yes, something has happened…” Valmar said, “What happened, Manuel??” Manuel said, “Me, Kayla, and David ventured to the Realm of Cyrodiil, to collect your Fire Scepter, Valmar… Once we all were talking with the Emperor, we were attacked. The Emperor didn’t make it, soo we ventured back to my Frostcrag Spire and enchanted our armor and stuff and left to go to the Planes of Oblivion. Once back in the Planes of Oblivion, we fought our way to one of the Spires. Once we were at the top, we found a teleportal that led back to the Eco Industrial Plant, where me and David defeated Jak. Well, Jak was in control of the Fire Scepter and David wanted the honor of defeating him, again. Soo, while him and Jak fought, me and Kayla fought each other, as training.” Valmar said, “Has she gotten stronger??” Manuel said, “Yes, she has. Anyways, after David defeated Jak for good, he grabbed the Fire Scepter and we all left that realm. However, once we were back in the Planes of Oblivion, I tried asking for the Fire Scepter back from David. He refused to give it up and we actually fought against each other. After fighting for almost an hour, we threw each other off and I landed, but fell to one knee. David took advantage of that and pinned me down to the ground, with both of his swords on each side of my neck. Right before he went to strike me down, Kayla threw an Ice attack at him, because she was on the outside of the Fire Circle that David created with the Fire Scepter. Soo, after David fell and quickly got back up and stared at Kayla, I took advantage of her attack and stood in front of him and held out both my hands in front of his heart and launched my most powerful lightning attack. That eventually killed him, after he instructed me to show this badge to the Krimson General and issue the Order O-5. From there, his world exploded.” All the Sages were shocked about what happened. Manuel said, “Yeah, I had to destroy my long-time friend and adventurer… Now, if you will excuse me, I’m heading to bed.” Manuel saluted and walked back into his room. Valmar said, “Wow… To destroy his own friend… That had to take much courage.” The Bluish Figure said, “We should let him sleep. Let’s continue this, another time.” The other Sages disappeared and the Bluish Figure walked back into her room. With this ship moving quickly and silently, their next adventure will take them to a familiar world to the both of them, in hopes that the Ice Scepter isn’t in the hands of a good person.
The ship was making its way to a realm that Manuel and Kayla both knew all too well. From within the ship, Manuel was walking around the ship, drinking a Dr. Pepper. With the last adventure weighing heavily on his mind, Manuel’s thoughts start to race and replay the battle. After staring out the window for a few minutes, Kayla came walking up to him and said, “What’s on your mind, Manuel??” Manuel was still gazing out of the window, but said, “The last adventure we were on… The battle between me and David… The Great Sage and the King of Haven… I never thought to see the day that me and him would never be partners in adventures again…” Kayla grabbed his hand and said, “I never expected the power of the Fire Scepter to gain his control soo easily.” Manuel turned to Kayla and said, “It just pains me to know that I will never see David again… We’ve been friends for ages… We’ve completed many missions and adventures and raids together…” Kayla said, “Well, Manuel… If you remember what our Masters told us… Eventually it will just be The Seven Sages… Some losses are needed to gain what we must… And maybe David’s destiny was to fight you all along and truly find out who’s the better adventurer and you defeated him.” Manuel turned his attention back to the window and said, “Maybe you’re right… But, I always wanted him to be there, when The Sages of the Seven were finally awakened and back together…” Kayla turned to the window and said, “Think of it as this… You know how loyal David was to his friendship to admit defeat to his best friend of the ages… Do you ever think that it could happen to us??” Manuel sighed and said, “Not a chance.” Kayla said, “Well, what if I was to perish??” Manuel’s gaze was swiftly turned to meet Kayla’s eyes. Kayla continued, “I would want you to carry out the mission… And you know what mission I’m talking about…” Manuel said, “But, that mission can’t be complete, if The Great Sage has no Apprentice to claim as his own…” Kayla smiled and said, “And you don’t have to worry about that, because I will be here, right beside you… And when we have our family, we can raise them to follow in our foot-steps.” Manuel said, “And when that day comes, our mission will finally be complete and that I made sure that lightning didn’t strike twice.” Manuel and Kayla smiled and kissed each other. Suddenly, the alarm went off. Manuel said, “Time to go to the Realm of Kingdom Hearts… Again…” Kayla said, “How many times have you been there??” Manuel said, “Soo far, twice. Let’s find out how long they’ve had the Ice Scepter.” Manuel and Kayla walked into the Teleportation Room and stepped upon the platform. Manuel said, “Computer, teleport us to Sora’s location… He should be with the others.” The Computer Voice said, “They’re currently located in Radiant Garden. Should I teleport you there, in the market place??” Manuel said, “Sure, that’s no problem.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel. Teleporting to destination: Radiant Garden Market Place.” With a bright flash of white light, Manuel and Kayla were gone from the ship.
Once they appeared in the Market Place, they noticed that everyone was frozen in ice. As they looked upon all the people, Manuel said, “Someone’s been using the Ice Scepter very frequently…” Kayla said, “We should start looking for who’s controlling the Ice Scepter…” Once they started to walk, ice attacks started to fly past them. Manuel and Kayla turned around and saw that a hooded figure started to rain down ice attacks. Manuel stood in front of Kayla and reflected all the rain of ice attacks. Manuel pointed his Staff of Sages at the hooded figure and a lightning bolt shot out from the top of the Triforce Symbol. It hit the hooded figure and brought it down from the sky. Manuel and Kayla ran to where the hooded figure fell to quickly apprehend it. Once Manuel rounded a corner, an ice attack struck his chest, knocking him down instantly. Kayla saw the attack and gripped her Keyblades, as she was rounding the corner. Kayla knew the hooded figure would try another attack and defended herself. Right after she blocked the attack, Kayla ran to Manuel’s side. As she kneeled down, Manuel grabbed her and pulled her down closer to him. Right after Kayla was pulled down, a big ice attack flew over them. Manuel grabbed his Staff of Sages and summoned another lightning attack that struck the hooded figure, rendering it paralyzed. Manuel and Kayla quickly got back up and made their way to the hooded figure. Manuel bent down at threw back the hood and it was Sora. Manuel said, “Wait, this doesn’t make any sense. Sora was the one that contacted us. Why would he be in control of the Ice Scepter??” Kayla grabbed the Ice Scepter and it vaporized immediately. Kayla threw the Ice Scepter and said, “It’s a fake Ice Scepter. Whoever used Sora, gave him his fake Ice Scepter as well.” Sora said, “You will not see your Second Age, Manuel. We will stop it.” Manuel said, “Sora, you have to take control of your mind and body. Don’t let this darkness over-run you.” Sora laughed and suddenly, his heart flew out of his body, leaving Sora’s body to turn cold and into stone. Manuel and Kayla held up their hands and tried to stop Sora’s heart from escaping. Suddenly, Sora’s heart turned to ice and exploded. Manuel said, “Never saw that happen before…” Kayla said, “That only happens when someone has been re-born by the Ice Scepter’s power.” Manuel said, “Is your Scepter able to grant life??” Kayla said, “From what I remember, my Ice Scepter can give and replace life.” Manuel said, “Then, a Nobody has to be controlling it. Let’s head to Merlin’s house.” Manuel and Kayla walked to Merlin’s house, which happened to be right around the next corner. Once they walked inside, they saw that the place was in utter ruin. Manuel said, “Maybe I can figure something out on Cid’s computer.” Manuel walked to what was left of Cid’s computer and magically repaired it. Once Manuel got it up and running, Manuel found some diary documents deep within the computer’s mainframe. Manuel opened one and said, “This isn’t possible…” Kayla said, “What is it??” Manuel said, “I’ll read it out-loud…” Manuel scrolled back to the top of the document and read it:
“As I am typing this last entry… I seem to be the only one left. Leon and the others fell to the wielder of the Ice Scepter… And I’m now hiding within Merlin’s house, hoping that his magic is able to prolong my determined death. We never realized how powerful the Ice Scepter was and how much of a control it can hold on the wielder. To all those I have seen fall to him… I am to blame. I failed to keep all of you alive and it seems that my time is running out. After I save this last document, I’m going to destroy this computer, in hopes that no one is able to retrieve the data on it. Very soon, my love… We shall be together again. Please forgive me for my mistakes, my love… my Beloved Queen Minnie…”
Manuel closed the document and shut down the computer. Kayla said, “King Mickey was writing this?? He witnessed the fall of everyone around him, including Minnie…” Manuel said, “Or maybe he was the one that made them all fall before him, including Minnie… You’ve seen how much control these Scepters can have over anyone…” Kayla said, “I also believe that is true too… But, we won’t know until we find him.” Manuel said, “It doesn’t make sense though… Why would King Mickey type up this document, stating that someone has destroyed everyone he knows and cares about, when he was the one that probably had the Ice Scepter in his possession to begin with??” Kayla said, “What makes you think he had it in his possession, this entire time??” Manuel said, “It’s a feeling that I’ve always had. I wanted to know if he knew anything about the Sages, but never got the chance to ask.” Kayla softly said, “Manuel, activate your invisibility.” Manuel and Kayla went into stealth mode and the door was blasted open by an ice attack. Two hooded figures, wielding Ice Scepters were walking inside to find something. One hooded figure said, “Why are we here again??” The other hooded figure said, “He sent us here because he believed that Manuel and Michelle would be here, looking for the Ice Scepter. Besides, if anything happened, Sora would’ve been able to handle it. Soo, relax Kairi.” The hooded figure threw back its hood and it was Kairi. Kairi said, “I don’t like this… We haven’t heard from Sora in a long while. We should go find him, Riku.” The other hooded figure threw back its hood and it was Riku. Manuel and Kayla were surprised that Sora’s best friends, Kairi and Riku, were under the control of the Ice Scepter’s power. Kairi said, “Let’s head to the market place…” Kairi and Riku ran outside and once they turned a couple of corners, Manuel and Kayla could hear them screaming about Sora’s death. Without a second thought, Manuel teleported himself and Kayla near the entrance of the Hollow Bastion Castle. After they re-appeared, they started to walk around. Kayla said, “I’m assuming that they don’t know about Michelle being dead…” Manuel said, “No they don’t. Remember that when that battle ended, I flew back to Planet Earth.” Kayla said, “Soo, what will they say??” Manuel said, “I wonder that too… But, I think we should look into who has the Ice Scepter.” Kayla said, “Okay… Let’s narrow it down… We destroyed Sora… Kairi and Riku are being controlled by the Ice Scepter…” Manuel said, “Plus, we can’t rule out if King Mickey is dead or not…” Kayla said, “Maybe we should go to The World That Never Was??” Manuel hesitated, but said, “I don’t think that place is still there… It was destroyed, when me and my brother last fought.” Kayla said, “It never hurts to check…” Manuel agreed and teleported them to the remains of The World That Never Was.
Once they appeared on the outskirts of the ruined castle, Manuel and Kayla gazed upon the ruin of the castle. Kayla said, “I never imagined that this castle would’ve been able to be destroyed.” Manuel said, “Me and my brother fought epically… I never thought I would’ve been able to destroy him either, but I did.” Kayla said, “That had to have been hard on you…” Manuel said, “I’m not proud of it, but let’s just find who’s controlling the Ice Scepter…” Kayla pointed ahead and said, “I don’t think we have to go that far, because here comes another hooded person.” Manuel and Kayla gazed upon the hooded figure, as it landed before them. The hooded figure summoned two Ice Scepters and said, “It was foolish to come here, Manuel.” Manuel knew the voice and said, “Is that you, King Mickey??” The hooded figure threw back its hood and it was King Mickey. Mickey said, “Again, it was foolish to return here… But, where is Michelle??” Manuel said, “Michelle was killed… This is my true Apprentice. Her name is Kayla.” Mickey said, “Be that as it may, but you will not be taking the Ice Scepter from its true owner.” Kayla said, “Have you always commanded the Ice Scepter??” Mickey said, “Ever since Manuel has been here, I have always kept the Ice Scepter safe. However, now I realize that I was selected to wield this Ice Scepter and use it as I see fit.” Manuel summoned his double Keyblades and said, “We will be taking back the Ice Scepter, Mickey. You don’t need it. You’ve already destroyed enough people with that Scepter. It’s time to give it to its rightful owner.” Kayla summoned her double Keyblades and said, “And that rightful owner is me.” King Mickey put back on his hood and jumped at Manuel and Kayla, trying to strike them with his double Ice Scepters. As the battle raged on, Manuel and Kayla were telepathically telling each other on how they were going to take down Mickey to retrieve the Ice Scepter. However, as they were battling, two more hooded figures appeared and saw the battle. King Mickey and Manuel threw each other off and Manuel saw the other two hooded figures. Kayla said, “That has to be Kairi and Riku… You think they’re going to join in??” Manuel saw that Riku and Kairi summoned their own Keyblade and Ice Scepter and said, “Yeah, I think they’re going to… Which one’s you want??” Kayla said, “I don’t care, just as long as I get my Ice Scepter back.” Manuel nodded his head and said, “I agree with you.” The three hooded figures clashed with Manuel and Kayla again, creating a powerful impact that shook the outskirts of the ruined castle. Manuel and Kayla managed to dodge every attack from the three hooded figures. Manuel telepathically said, “Kayla, I want you to take down Riku, for good.” Kayla telepathically said, “Consider it done.” Kayla threw off Kairi and lunged at Riku, utterly destroying him. Kayla telepathically said, “Make Kairi suffer the same fate, Manuel.” Manuel telepathically said, “Consider it complete, Kayla.” Manuel threw his double Keyblades into the ground and summoned his Staff of Sages. Manuel gripped the Staff of Sages and summoned a lightning bolt that rendered Kairi lifeless, on the floor. With only King Mickey left to dispose of, Manuel and Kayla met side-by-side. Manuel withdrew his Staff of Sages and Kayla threw her double Keyblades into the ground. Manuel and Kayla held out their hands and summoned their combined lightning and ice attack that destroyed King Mickey for good. Manuel and Kayla gathered up their double Keyblades and withdrew them back. Manuel summoned his Staff of Sages and walked towards King Mickey. Kayla grabbed Kairi’s and Riku’s Ice Scepters and they exploded. Manuel picked up King Mickey’s double Ice Scepters and only one exploded. Manuel said, “I have the real one. Let’s get out of here.” Kayla saw something on King Mickey’s wrist and said, “What’s this??” Manuel looked at King Mickey’s wrist and saw a mark that gave him a gasp. Manuel said, “This isn’t possible.” Kayla said, “That isn’t a Heartless or a Nobody symbol… Who’s symbol is it??” Manuel said, “A symbol that should have deceased to exist…” Manuel activated his watch and said, “Computer, teleport us back to the ship.” On the watch, the Computer Voice said, “Teleporting now…” Manuel said, “I think I know where we are going next…” Kayla said, “Do you??” Manuel said, “Yes, I believe I do… I just hope that the past hasn’t come back…” Suddenly, Manuel and Kayla were teleported from The World That Never Was. After they disappeared, a hooded figure came walking up to the remains of the three. The hooded figure held out its hand and all three of their hearts floated out and exploded. The hooded figure summoned a Golden Scepter and said, “It’s about time I gave this back to him…” The hooded figure teleported out the Realm of Kingdom Hearts, leaving the bodies of the only characters left to rot on the ground.
Finally back on the ship, Manuel and Kayla came walking out of the Teleportation Room. Manuel said, “Let’s go place your Ice Scepter on the pedestal.” Manuel and Kayla walked into the Seven Scepters Room and placed the Ice Scepter on the pedestal, next to Rinx’s Dark Scepter. The Ice Scepter started to float off the pedestal and symbols appeared on the Ice Scepter. Manuel said, “The Ice Scepter of The Apprentice??” Kayla said, “Is that what it says??” Manuel said, “It says, “The Apprentice” on your Ice Scepter… Then again, my Scepter probably only says, “The Great Sage” on it too…” Kayla said, “Well, I know that I control the Ice Scepter, soo I’m okay with it. Soo, where is our next destination??” Manuel said, “Computer, make our next destination for the Realm of Hyrule.” The Computer Voice said, “Our ETA will be about 14 hours and 29 minutes. Shall I set an alarm for you both??” Kayla said, “Make it at least three hours prior?? We can maybe get some training done…” Manuel said, “Excellent idea. Let’s do that.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel.” Manuel said, “Let’s lay down for a little while, Kayla.” Kayla said, “I agree with you. That last battle really wore me out.” Manuel and Kayla walked into their room and shut the door. Once they both got into comfier clothes, they laid down and they fell asleep. With the ship on its direct course to the Realm of Hyrule, Manuel and Kayla will soon realize what threat they will be facing to retrieve the Golden Scepter.
Though the ship was only within a couple of hours of the Realm of Hyrule, Manuel and Kayla were fully awake and training in the training room of the ship. As Manuel and Kayla fought against each other, they seemed to be an almost equal match for each other. Manuel and Kayla caught each other at a stalemate and they magically blew each other apart. Manuel and Kayla used soo much of a magic attack against each other, they hit the walls of the training room, ultimately rendering them unable to continue the battle. Manuel said, “Simulation End.” The room transformed and Manuel and Kayla managed to get back up. Manuel said, “That wasn’t smart for us.” Kayla laughed a bit and said, “That’s going to hurt later.” Manuel said, “Computer, how close are we to the Realm of Hyrule.” The Computer Voice said, “2 minutes prior arrival, Manuel.” Manuel said, “Great timing. Let’s head to the Teleportation Room.” Manuel and Kayla made their way into the Teleportation Room and Manuel said, “Computer, teleport us to the Hyrule Castle. I must see Princess Zelda.” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel. Teleporting now to destination: Hyrule Castle Courtyard.” With a bright flash of light, Manuel and Kayla were gone from the ship. From the living room, the Bluish Figure appeared on the couch. As she sat there, Valmar also appeared on the couch, across from her. Valmar said, “What seems to be on your mind??” The Bluish Figure said, “I can sense a dark power over Kayla…” Valmar said, “Soo, you were sensing that too?? Shadow has told me that she has been sensing the same thing from Kayla.” The Bluish Figure said, “I don’t really know what it is, but it just doesn’t seem to leave my mind…” Valmar said, “Well, I know that you are Kayla’s other-side, correct??” The Bluish Figure said, “No one is suppose to know that…” Valmar said, “Well, I do. Maybe since you still have a strong connection with her, you are feeling her emotions and power, as well.” The Bluish Figure said, “That is possible… But, I can’t help to think that it was my fault to begin with…” Valmar said, “Well, we won’t know, until or unless she starts showing this power or hinting towards it…” The Bluish Figure said, “I do know one thing… Once Manuel hears about this, he will not believe it.” Valmar said, “I know that is true… He can be very stubborn at times, but he makes up for it, in the end.” Valmar disappeared from the ship, leaving the Bluish Figure on the couch. The Bluish Figure said, “He is stubborn, but I still love him… And that will never change…” The Bluish Figure disappeared from the ship, as well.
Upon appearing in the Hyrule Castle Courtyard, Manuel and Kayla noticed that Princess Zelda was sitting in the Courtyard, with her face in her lap and hands. Manuel and Kayla walked up to her and sat down next to her. Manuel said, “What’s wrong, Princess Zelda??” Princess Zelda emerged her face from her hands and said, “I failed you, Manuel…” Kayla said, “Failed how??” Princess Zelda said, “Someone has control of The Golden Scepter…” Manuel said, “Soo, it was hidden here…” Princess Zelda said, “Yes, it was. But now, it’s been stolen…” Kayla said, “Do you know who took it??” Princess Zelda said, “All I know is that whoever took it, is waiting inside the Seven Scepters Room, deep beneath the Temple of Time.” Manuel said, “Then, we should head there now.” Kayla said, “Let’s teleport to the Temple of Time.” Manuel and Kayla stood back up. Manuel said, “You coming, Princess Zelda??” Princess Zelda said, “I rather not let you down again… I will remain here…” Manuel said, “As you wish, Princess.” Manuel and Kayla teleported from the Courtyard to the Temple of Time. Still sitting in the Courtyard, Princess Zelda gave a big sigh. Suddenly, a hooded figure appeared before her. The hooded figure said, “Splendid work, Princess.” Princess Zelda tilted her head down and said, “Thank you…” The hooded figure said, “Now, I can go ahead with the second part of my plan…” The hooded figure disappeared, leaving Princess Zelda still sitting in the Courtyard. Princess Zelda was alone, but said, “I hope that Manuel forgives me… I once stood alongside Manuel, but now, I stand alongside him… And once Manuel knows who he’s facing…” Princess Zelda, now in tears, disappeared from the Courtyard. Manuel and Kayla re-appeared in the Temple of Time, where the Master Sword Pedestal was. Manuel and Kayla walked up to it and Manuel placed his Staff of Sages in the Pedestal. One of the walls disappeared and the blue steps appeared again. Manuel took out his Staff of Sages and said, “Let’s find out who has my Scepter…” Manuel and Kayla ran down the hallway, making their entrance into the Seven Scepters Room. Once they arrived, Heartless started to appear. Manuel noticed something and said, “These aren’t the same Heartless we faced, in the Realm of Kingdom Hearts.” Suddenly, one of the Heartless spoke and said, “Manuel, it’s been too long…” Manuel said, “He’s dead. There’s no way you all aren’t alive… You guys must be what remains of his grand army. We shall defeat you with pleasure…” The Heartless creature said, “Think what you may. We are here to make sure things go to plan.” Manuel said, “Enough words. Die, Heartless!!” Manuel and Kayla summoned their double Keyblades and lunged at the big group of Heartless. Manuel and Kayla did away with all the Heartless very quickly. Once they were done destroying the Heartless, Manuel said, “Something isn’t right… Why were we directed to come here, where his Heartless were waiting??” Kayla said, “Who’s Heartless??” Manuel said, “Someone who should just stay dead…” Suddenly, Manuel and Kayla both heard a voice in their mind. The voice said, “Manuel… Kayla… This is Princess Zelda. You must meet me back at my castle.” Manuel and Kayla wasted no time teleporting back to the Courtyard. Once they appeared in the Courtyard, Manuel and Kayla saw a hooded figure standing next to Princess Zelda, wielding the Golden Scepter. Manuel said, “Get away from the princess!!” The hooded figure laughed and said, “Not a chance, Manuel. I have to have something to make you come and fight me… Or would you rather have me capture your Apprentice??” Manuel said, “You would have to get through me to get to my Apprentice…” The hooded figure said, “Or have I already??” Manuel looked to his left and saw that Kayla was no longer at his side. Manuel turned back and saw that Kayla was magically bound and standing next to Princess Zelda. Manuel summoned his Staff of Sages and went to strike the hooded figure. Putting most of his power into one attack, he jumped and attacked the hooded figure. The hooded figure held up his hands and once Manuel went to strike, Manuel hit the barrier and his Staff of Sages was split in two. Manuel fell to the ground, looking at his broken Staff of Sages. The hooded figure said, “You think I wouldn’t be prepared for your power, Manuel?!” The hooded figure picked up Manuel and threw him through the castle wall, causing a huge hole in the wall. The hooded figure made a whistling sound and a small group of Heartless appeared. The hooded figure said, “Take them back to my lair. And do take care of Kayla. Make sure she’s well taken care of… Manuel would kill me, if his precious Apprentice was mistreated.” The Heartless took Princess Zelda and Kayla through a dark portal and the portal disappeared. The hooded figure turned his attention back to Manuel, who was still on the floor. The hooded figure picked him back up and punched him back down. The hooded figure said, “This was for all the crap you put me through…” The hooded figure picked Manuel up and threw him through another wall of the castle. The hooded figure walked up to Manuel and started kicking him body. Moans and groans came from Manuel, as the hooded figure kept on punching and kicking him. Once the hooded figure paused, the hooded figure said, “All those years… And it’s finally come down to this…” The hooded figure picked up Manuel and stood back. Manuel managed to keep his balance and said, “Why… are you doing… doing this??...” The hooded figure said, “This is just simple revenge that I have long waited for…” The hooded figure started to power up and concentrate his power into the palms of his hands. Manuel said, “What revenge must you take upon me??... What have I done??...” The hooded figure said, “You tried to destroy me… You nearly fulfilled that, back at The World That Never Was… But, when I let Mickey’s mind be brainwashed from the power of the Ice Scepter, I knew that would bring you back… And since I control your Golden Scepter… I can take my rightful place as The Great Sage… Soo, this is your final stand, my brother…” The hooded figure threw back its hood and Manuel saw that his brother that he thought he destroyed was alive. Manuel said, “How dare you, Nathan…” Nathan smiled and said, “Like brothers, you shall suffer the same fate…” Nathan unleashed all of his concentrated power and struck Manuel’s body that shook the entire castle, bringing the castle down to utter pieces. Nathan teleported out of castle and appeared in the Hyrule Castle Market, watching the castle fall to pieces. Hidden within Nathan’s lair, Kayla had a vision of the castle, crumbling and Manuel’s body and power were nowhere to be found. As Nathan was leaving the Castle Market, he said, “This time, I will become The Great Sage and take my rightful place in this life.” The Hyrule Castle was in utter ruin, with no sign of Manuel’s body. Hidden in Nathan’s lair, Kayla softly said, “I can’t sense his power anywhere… Manuel, please still be alive… Seven Sages, please answer my plea… Bring Manuel back to me… Don’t let him die…”
From within the ship, a bright blue flash filled the living room. The Bluish Figure appeared and said, “I heard Kayla’s words… I must summon them… Only the Power of the Seven can help him now…” The Bluish Figure raised her arms up and five other flashes appeared in the living room. Valmar said, “What have you summoned us for??” The Bluish Figure said, “Kayla has made a plea to the Seven Sages… If any of you haven’t noticed, Manuel’s power level is very low… Apparently, his brother came back and has made sure that Manuel would suffer the same fate he did, back in The World That Never Was.” Shadow said, “Oh no, we have to go save him.” Valmar said, “Where is he??” The Bluish Figure said, “He’s hidden within the rubble of the Hyrule Castle. Shall we leave??” The six Sages disappeared from the ship. Once the six Sages appeared before the destroyed Hyrule Castle, Valmar managed to locate Manuel’s position and magically lifted the rubble off of him. The six Sages ran to Manuel’s location and saw his body badly beaten, bruised, and bloody. Shadow said, “I have never seen Manuel like this…” The Bluish Figure said, “Let’s not waste anymore time… Sages, summon your weapons and hold them over Manuel, giving him power to regenerate.” The six Sages summoned their weapons and concentrated much energy above Manuel. Slowly, the power started to float down to Manuel’s body. Ever soo slowly, Manuel’s body started to move and heal. Suddenly, Manuel took in a gasp of air and quickly came back to life. The six Sages disappeared, leaving Manuel to regain his power again. Manuel held out his hand and his broken Staff of Sages appeared. Manuel used what power he regained and magically repaired it to its original state. Now equipped with his re-forged Staff of Sages, Manuel managed to utilize the Staff of Sages’ power to regain his balance and stand up. Knowing that his brother was alive once more, Manuel knew what he must do again. Manuel said, “My brother is alive… I’m going to have to fully destroy him again… And this time, I’ll use my dark power to do soo… I rather not use any of my dark power, but under these circumstances… I’m going to have to dip into that dark power, once again…” Manuel walked to the Temple of Time and managed his way to the Seven Scepters Room, underneath the Temple of Time. Manuel managed to sat down and go into a meditative state, where he telepathically contacted Kayla. Manuel telepathically said, “Can you tell me where you are, Kayla??” Kayla heard Manuel’s voice and sat down where she was standing and went into deep meditation. Kayla telepathically said, “All I know is that this is your brother’s lair… I know not of its location or surroundings to give you a rough picture…” Manuel telepathically said, “Can you use any of your power??” Kayla telepathically said, “Surprisingly yes, I can…” Manuel telepathically said, “Try to see if you can use some of your power and project a good enough signal where I can find you…” Kayla telepathically said, “Doing soo, now…” Manuel and Kayla projected each other’s power to a long enough point where they were able to sense where each other were. Once Manuel got in touch with Kayla’s projection power, Manuel quickly teleported to Kayla’s position. Once Manuel re-appeared next to Kayla, she hugged him and kissed him. Kayla softly said, “I thought I’d never see you again…” Manuel softly said, “The same to you too, Kayla… Now, we have to defeat my brother…” Kayla softly said, “How?? If you couldn’t defeat him before, what can we do??” Manuel softly said, “We must dip into our dark powers…” Kayla paused for a bit and softly said, “That’s too risky…” Manuel softly said, “But, we have no choice. If we can combine our dark powers, we can be able to gain a small advantage upon my brother… If there’s one thing I know about my brother… It’s that he doesn’t count on everything always happening…” Kayla paused again and said, “Well, if you think it’s possible, then let’s do it…” Manuel sensed where his brother was and teleported himself and Kayla to his location. Once they appeared, Nathan was surprised that Manuel was still alive. Nathan said, “Soo, you have returned to die again…” Manuel summoned his Staff of Sages and said, “I’ve returned to claim my Golden Scepter, Nathan. And this time, I will pry it from your dead fingers.” Nathan said, “Let’s just see if you can defeat me again, brother…” Nathan summoned the Golden Scepter and his own Demonic Scepter. Kayla summoned her Staff of The Apprentice and Manuel and Kayla both concentrated their power together, and their appearances started to change. A dark field appeared around Manuel and Kayla. Within seconds, Manuel and Kayla emerged in their dark power forms. With bright fire red eyes and a gothic-type outfit, Manuel said, “Now in our dark forms…” With bright icicle blue eyes and a gothic-type outfit, Kayla said, “We will defeat you for good.” Nathan jumped at Manuel and Kayla and their final battle begun.
As the battle raged on, the lair’s walls started to crumble and fall apart. Kayla managed to use her abilities to attack Nathan, giving Manuel a better advantage to strike down his own brother. Though Nathan tries to attack Kayla, Manuel blocks his attacks and strikes back at Nathan. When Manuel and Nathan caught each other at a stalemate, Kayla automatically used her ice attack and struck Nathan in the face, sending him flying into his throne causing it to break. Nathan got back up and went to attack Kayla. Manuel used his Staff of Sages and struck Nathan again, sending him through a window. Manuel said, “Let’s finish this, my Apprentice.” Kayla nodded her head and Manuel and Kayla flew outside the window. Once they were outside, they saw a realm that they have never seen. Nathan was floating in the air and said, “Magnificent, isn’t it, my brother…” Manuel said, “Nathan, this is potential suicide.” Kayla said, “You’re using the Sacred Realm to combine it with Hyrule… That’s unthinkable, Nathan.” Nathan said, “And once I become The Great Sage, I will make sure it’s fulfilled.” Manuel said, “Stop this, Nathan. Even with my power, you wouldn’t be able to combine them. This realm isn’t meant to combine with anything. It’s meant to keep the balance.” Nathan said, “It doesn’t matter. I shall defeat you, once and for all, my brother…” Nathan flew at Manuel and they clashed and crashed back into Nathan’s castle. Manuel and Nathan got back up and they fought again with their weapons. When Manuel and Nathan caught each other at another stalemate, Manuel threw him off again. Manuel said, “Give it up, Nathan… You haven’t been able to defeat me before, what makes you think you can defeat me??” Nathan said, “Because, you weren’t always able to see the brighter picture…” Nathan threw the Golden Scepter at the pillar next to him and the castle started coming down. Nathan said, “If I go down, I’m taking you with me, brother…” Manuel grabbed the Golden Scepter and said, “Not this time, Nathan…” Manuel nodded his head and Kayla struck Nathan from behind with her Staff of The Apprentice. Nathan fell to the floor and Manuel and Kayla went to teleport out. Manuel quickly said, “Wait!!” Manuel teleported himself and Kayla to Princess Zelda’s location. Manuel said, “Come on, Princess Zelda. Time to take you home.” Manuel grabbed Princess Zelda and teleported them all out of the castle.
Finally back in the Realm of Hyrule, they all appeared in the Hyrule Castle Market. Princess Zelda turned around and saw that her castle was still in ruin. Manuel said, “If there’s anything we can do, Princess Zelda…” Zelda held up her hand and said, “You’ve done enough, Manuel. Just leave me be in my own ruined kingdom…” Feeling bad, Manuel and Kayla left Princess Zelda in her kingdom. As Princess Zelda was walking back to her ruined castle, Princess Zelda said, “Time after time, my castle is always ruined… And I’m again left with only the Triforce of Wisdom… I deserve to have all three pieces of the Triforce…” As Princess Zelda held up her arms in the air, the castle magically repaired itself and was restored. After Princess Zelda walked into her castle and into the main hall, she summoned the Six Sages. Princess Zelda said, “I have a question… Why can’t I control the full Triforce??” One of the Sages said, “Because, we know that you’re not pure of heart.” Princess Zelda said, “How is that possible?! I have always been pure of heart.” One of the Sages said, “We have placed the other two pieces in our possession, because you refused to help bring back Link and Ganondorf.” Princess Zelda summoned her sword and said, “Then, maybe I should fix that…” Princess Zelda jumped at the Six Sages and slashed at them all, sending them back to their eternal grounds. The two pieces appeared before Princess Zelda and she gathered them up to fully equip the Triforce. Feeling fully powerful, Princess Zelda started to utilize the Triforce to change her castle’s appearance. Knowing that she can utilize the power of the Triforce, Princess Zelda walked outside of her castle. However, after she walked outside, she saw Valmar upon her home world. Princess Zelda was about to say something, until she had another idea. Princess Zelda summoned her bow and a Light Arrow and took aim at Valmar. As she was about to let go, Princess Zelda said, “This is step one of my final plan for you, Manuel…”
Back on the ship, Manuel and Kayla re-appeared in the Teleportation Room and walked out into the living room. Manuel and Kayla sat down on the couch and Manuel said, “We have all seven Scepters now… Let’s go place mine on its last pedestal.” Manuel and Kayla got back up and walked into the Seven Scepters Room. After Manuel placed the Golden Scepter on the pedestal in the center of the others, it started to float off its pedestal and symbols appeared on the Golden Scepter. Manuel read the symbols and said, “The Golden Scepter of The Great Sage… Finally, the Seven Scepters of the Sages have been successfully recovered. Now, what must me do…” Kayla said, “I don’t think we have anything else to do…” Manuel said, “Computer, can you take us back home to Planet Earth??” The Computer Voice said, “You mean we’re finally on our way back home??” Manuel said, “Yes, we successfully recovered all Seven Scepters. Now, take us back home.” The Computer Voice said, “Our ETA will be about 15 hours and 17 minutes. Shall I alert you in time??” Manuel said, “Hmmm…” Kayla said, “Maybe we can use some of our power to just teleport home…” Manuel said, “Let’s do that. Come with me…” Manuel and Kayla walked back in the living room and started to concentrate their power together. As the ship was making its way through space, Manuel and Kayla concentrated their power in unison to help get the ship back to their home world of Earth. Manuel summoned his Staff of Sages and Kayla summoned her Staff of The Apprentice. In unison, Manuel and Kayla wielded their weapons and together slammed them into the floor of the ship. Suddenly, the ship started to move a lot faster and within seconds the ship was in orbit around the planet Earth. Manuel said, “Computer, land us back at my house. I wish to see my world again…” The Computer Voice said, “As you wish, Manuel.” Kayla said, “It’s been forever since we were last here. I hope nothing hasn’t changed.” Manuel said, “The only difference is that David won’t be here to chill with and smoke hookah…” As the ship came to a soft landing and the ship powered down, Manuel gave a sigh and said, “Time to continue our journey here at home…” Kayla said, “If I remember correctly, we were attending school.” Manuel said, “Then, let’s re-enroll and continue our schooling…” Manuel and Kayla walked off the ship and through the Head-Quarters to the elevator that lead to Manuel’s closet of his room. After walking out of the elevator and closing the doors, Manuel and Kayla made their way downstairs and into the living room. Manuel and Kayla sat down on the couch. Manuel said, “What you want to do??” Kayla said, “Let’s smoke some hookah… I’m down to try anything new…” Manuel said, “Go ahead and go to that closet and pick your choice.” Manuel got up and went to his computer and turned it back on. After getting all the info from the ship, he noticed that he begun to chronicle his previous adventure, but failed to continue it. Manuel said, “I’m going to continue this…” Kayla came back walking over and read some of the chapters and said, “You were chronicling your adventure, weren’t you??” Manuel said, “I was, but I seemed to stop. I’m going to finish this adventure, since I have it still fresh. You can read it later, if you want.” Kayla said, “Sure. I’m going to get the hookah ready.” Manuel nodded his head and opened a new document and started to type out his chapter. As minutes turned to hours, Manuel finally closed his final document and turned to see the time. After he realizes that it’s after midnight, Manuel saw that Kayla was asleep on the couch. Manuel quietly managed to clean up the hookah and put it away, before waking Kayla. After he came back to shut down his computer, he heard Kayla say, “You’re finally done, darling??” Manuel turned to her and said, “Yes, I am. You should see this.” Kayla got up and read the chapters. Kayla said, “Let’s see… Chapter 6 – The K-N-D Resurrection, Chapter 7 – The Revelation of the Sages, and Chapter 8 – The Battle of the Sages… Was that it??” Manuel said, “That’s just Book II – The Destruction of the Sages… Here’s the latest addition… Book III – The Seven Scepters of the Sages…” Kayla read the chapters and said, “Okay… Chapter 1 – The Seven Scepters of the Sages Part 1, Chapter 2 – The Dark Scepter of Rinx, Chapter 3 – The Light Scepter of Hera, Chapter 4 – The Lightning Scepter of Sabishixi, Chapter 5 – The Wind Scepter of Shadow, Chapter 6 – The Fire Scepter of Valmar, Chapter 7 – The Ice Scepter of The Apprentice, Chapter 8 – The Golden Scepter of The Great Sage, and Chapter 9 – The Seven Scepters of the Sages Part 2.” Manuel said, “What you think??” Kayla said, “They are very well named… I’ll have to start reading it tomorrow… What’s in this folder??” Manuel said, “Well, I named that folder as, ‘The Dawn of the Second Age of Sages’ because now we can chronicle our adventures to complete our final mission…” Manuel saved the documents and shut down the computer and said, “Let’s get to bed… We have to get classes started tomorrow…” Manuel and Kayla went upstairs and into Manuel’s room and laid down. Once they laid down, they were quickly asleep.
As days turned to weeks and weeks to months, Manuel and Kayla managed to start classes at a nearby community college. Manuel continued his musical career again and Kayla furthered her artistic talent. Manuel and Kayla had to constantly be on the look-out, because they heard that Kayla’s parents finally learned that their daughter has finally resurfaced and they were constantly looking for her. Being very smart, Manuel used some of his power to win a contest that granted his $10million and $5000 a week for life. With the new money, Manuel bought a new house and everything for it that was closer to school. With the remaining $7million, Manuel invested $3.5million in Nintendo Stocks and $3.5million in Apple Stocks. Now as the stocks continue to make more money, Manuel and Kayla continued their schooling together. Manuel and Kayla spent most of their time with school, but as the months went by, they became more closer than they ever have been. Manuel and Kayla continued to practice their Sage traditions and power, even though the atmosphere somehow managed to sap away their power again. Kayla got more sneakier and managed to sneak back over to her parents house to get the rest of her stuff, while her parents were out all day. Manuel was on his way home from school, when he got a call on his cell-phone…
